  1. Pete: over the years I have always had FSUIPC, sometimes registered other times not. This is one of the NOT times. However I cannot get my CH throttle levers to work properly in P3D with the PMDG NGX and the Wilco Feelthere Airbus Extreme. If I pays me money, would you have profiles for these that would allow the levers to work in a more normal fashion. With these aircraft I am pretty well back to the keyboard, although all else works well.
  2. thanks Pete: I believe I was just asking for clarification, not in some way suggesting you should maintain every prior version. Now that I have had my ears boxed I will go ahead and buy and register FSUIPC4 and not put my hand up in class ever again.
  3. Pete: I went to Simmarket to buy FSUIPC 4.1 but it is not specific. The page refers only to 4. Is that version 4.1 for FSX+SP1?
  4. Pete: many thanks for such a rapid reply. I am extremely impressed and grateful. When I put the 353 DLL into the folder it asked me whether I wanted to overwrite the 350 that was there. But after the action I still ended up with the 350. However I am not sure that I really worked it out, but I did the old standard action and rebooted. Then I had no trouble. So even though I had closed down FS something must have been running somewhere. However my crude remedy worked, 3.5.3 is installed and the Wilco 737 no longer dives out of control when the autopilot is activated. Once again I am impressed with your service and support.
  5. I have downloaded 3.5.3 and tried to put it into my modules folder. Stupidly I deleted the previous 3.5.0 without backup. Now the modules folder refuses to accept either version. It is a windows message with a x saying Access denied, and gives some reasons. There is no problem with available space so I have run up against a problem that is beyond my knowledge. I would be grateful for assistance, as now I do not have FSUIPC at all. :(
  6. Just to complete the saga. I never use my real name as a user name, therefore I tried my usual range of usernames (I am paranoid about my identity being stolen) and was rejected. I thought my real name was only for the applicaion to purchase. If this all seems unreal, I have, I am sure like many, a number of usernames and passwords for all sorts of purposes, which I record in an old fashioned notebook. I had not lost my key, only my name! And as I never use my real name I couldn't believe the obvious. I was rejected by the NZ Navy when I was 15 on the grounds of deteriorating eyesight and almost immediately after wore glasses, which I did for sixty years. Now I can manage with chemist shop reading glasses, although like you, I am going to get graduated lenses to overcome the need to take glasses off and on, and also to build in photochromatic glass so as to get a sunglass effect outside. Ironically I flew real world with coke bottle lenses, and now on the computer with uncorrected sight. Oh and by the way, your instructions on programming in reverse thrust proved straightforward to follow, and taxi-ing the Meridian is now manageable using beta instead of brakes.
  7. I have now sorted the problem with Sim Market and I am back on the air. It was frustrating. As to your photo, Pete, I was refering to your eyes, which I thought had been corrected. If like me you have had your cataracts done the change in sight is fantastic. It took a little while to settle down, but it has given me back the distance sight that I lost when I was a boy. Now all I have to do is learn how to program reverse thrust into my Logitech Topgun joystick so I can calm the galloping taxi speed of my Meridian.
  8. As you say emphatically I will have to negotiate with simmarket. I shall do so. And if I cannot persuade them, then WOFTAM. Your photo must have been taken on an exceptional day.
  9. But as I failed to save the key file, which is my fault, I obviously have the problem of not knowing the username that I put in. Is there a facility that will help me retrieve all of these details from your end? I think your module is great but I am unsure that I want to pay a second time. FS Addons seem to absorb as much money with the same risk as drinking or gambling!
  10. I was forced to re-install FS9 and all add-ons. My version of FSUIPC came with PMDG 737NG. I then purchased a registration. I recorded and kept the ID key that came with the purchase, and the critical 12 symbol key that you sent me. I cannot re-register using this key after the fresh installation. I would be grateful for your assistance.
  11. mea culpa. Following your clear instructions I have bought the numbers, and once my 3 hr download from FSGenesis is complete I will enter them. And now I go off chastened to bed! But remember with computers and the people that use them Murphy's Law always applies.
  12. Now, now. My kids call me crusty. I attempted to come through via the module placed on my sim by PMDG, and that's where the circularity began. I separately downloaded UIPC but when I attempted to install it I was told I couldn't as there was already a version in place. Believe me I want to pay, but the instructions on the registration frame put there by PMDG told me to use the number provided by the supplier, in this case PMDG. And there is no number that I can find. So. Do I uninstall the PMDG version, install yours, then pay my money and get the number? I think I'm scared to read your reply!
  13. Pete: first let me wish you well with your eyes. I too suffered poor vision all my life until I had my cataracts (prematurely induced by flying and sailing) removed. It has taken some time to settle down but absolutely worth the temporary discomfort. My question though relates to registration and I am sure it has probably been well covered. My FSUIPC came with the PMDG NG. I want to register to get the joystick calibration in particular, but the registration screen sends me round in circles. How can I get the number needed to register? If I can get that then I will happily pay.
