  1. will look into the parameter method.. Will report Thanks Best regards. Jack
  2. Hello Pete Using the "add fuel" function in the FSUIPC scrolling meu fills the tanks lighning fast! Is there a way to slow it down to an more or less realistic "real" time for a refill as I would like to simulate the tanks filling on the ground while preparing the flight.
  3. Hi Pete Just to let you know, officially at least, that a new site and forum has been created. http://www.cockpitbuilders.com We have a rapidly growing membership of well seasonned builders, mostly interested in discussing full scale cockpit matters We would be delighted to have you as a member. Jack
  4. Thanks Pete. I am building a "generic" throttle 777 style, I find the 737 TQ antiquated, so I have a good leeway. I'll play safe and make a temporary gate out of MDF, just in case. Have a great day Jack
  5. Hi Pete. Just a confirmation: I am building my throttle quad. Can I make my aluminum flaps gate with notches and calibrate my axis later so that each flaps setting corresponds to a notch (which seems to be the way to go) Or is it better to calibrate first and make the physical notches after. Jack
  6. Wonderful. Never saw it...(old age) Thx Pete
  7. I suppose that the engine sync in PM works only with autothrottle. Is there a way with FSUIPC to have a "Synchronization Button" which would be very handy during power approaches flown manual ? Jack
  8. Side note following a questionable thread on another forum. Your doc is superb Pete. Thanks for the tremendous help. Takes time to digest on some issues but everything is there. Thanks again Jack
  9. Hi Pete Want to put ATC text on a small screen...can do it by undocking to a second monitor off the server but it has to be repositionned on each session. Grrrr Can AdvDisp be used for that or is there a better way. Jack
  10. Is it possible to network a PC displaying the GPS (and ideally the ATC) This would allow displaying the GPS to a lower Ecam. I do it now by undocking the GPS to a second monitor from the FS PC, (dual head video card) but it slows down the PC display which looses some fluidity. Jack
  11. To avoid this hit the Y key for slew and the centre key of the numpad(5). It works!! Jack
  12. Hi Using ATC window undocked to a second monitor (dual head card) Anyone (including Pete of course) knowing how to change color/font of messages....they come out white with a fairly large typeface.??? Jack
  13. Pete You were right for the spoilers they work perfectly in flight. By the way is there any way to add a buffeting sound with the spoilers on, using Esound? Jack
  14. Hi Pete Thats fast!!! All has been calibrated with FSUIPC (got my key this morning) I'll try to switch the pots, Spoilers worked OK with FS calibration but go bizark with FSUIPC??? Keep U posted Jack
  15. ps: Using FS2K4/ FSUIPC latest build/ USB adapter for Joystick
  16. Hi everybody Built a 4axix4buttons throttle, 100K linear pots with gears. Throttle1 Z rotation Throttle2 Y axix Flaps X axis Spoiler Slider Flaps work perfect spoiler no progressivity and once up stay up??? Throttles, cant get more than +8000 on the calibration window and throttle one does not move on the same curve than 2...ie: From about 50% N1 up, engine 2 revs up much faster than 1 even if both levers are at the same level Must do something wrong? Please help :( jack
  17. Very good news I just use one type: 737NG full cockpit so I'll make my notches accordingly. Thanks again for a super soft and prompt follow up Jack
  18. Hi Pete As a decently priced Throttle quadrant is still "virtual"..I build mine..(737 &FS9) I use two axis for each throttle with reverse Question: Instead of using complicated detents with switches for flaps and spoiler can I use two more axis for the latter. I should get progressive spoilers and be able to calibrate flaps? It would save me a lot of building time. Feasible? Have a good day
