  1. Hi Pete, I didn't know that. Thanks for the help. I'll try it out. stew
  2. Hi I copied a new visualfx.dll from the FS2000 CD into the modules folder of FS2000 and it still crashes. I then installed FS2000 into my other machine and then installed the latest 3.5 of FSUIPC and then went to click the modules menu and at first I got the FSUIPC screen for about 4 secs and then came the dreaded Microsoft bug screen again with the same message re module as the last time and then I had to shut down the program. I can't think why putting in a new FSUIPC.dll should cause it to crash. I'm quite sure this wouldn't happen in FS2002 or FS9. I haven't tried them yet as I want to use FS2000 for a while to compare and try some flights with Dreamfleet 737. I really appreciate your time in trying to help me solve this problem. If you can help me any further I'd be grateful. regards Stuart
  3. Hi I put in the latest FSUIPC v3.53 and tried it again and I get the same crash. As the click the modules on the menu in FS2000 the screen goes black and an error window called 'Flight simulator 2000 module' which has the message underneath - has encountered a problem and needs to close. There is also a Microsoft error window the usual and when I click details of the error to send to Microsoft it states: error signature AppName Fs2000.icd AppVer 7.0.0.5010 ModName visualfx.dll I've never had this problem with FS2000 and FSUIPC when using Win98 but now I'm using WinXP. I also installed RCv3 yesterday and it doesn't work because it cant recognise the FSUIPC in FS2000 so the start button is greyed out. Its most upsetting as I can't figure out what to do. Upon uninstalling the FSUIPC the FS2000 works fine with WinXP its only when you install it in the modules folder and then try to access it on the menu to register and adjust settings that the sim crashes. Any further help would be greatly appreciated Stuart
  4. Hi I am using FS2000 with WinXp and it works fine but on putting in the new v3.4 of FSUIPC when I click on the menu in FS2000 to register the computer crashes and I get a Microsoft report error message. I've used the newer versions of FSUIPC with FS9 and WinXP and had no problems. Can anybody help as I want to use FS2000 at the moment? stew
