  1. Thanks very much. The thing I got wrong was that I programmed the hat switch to "Views" instead of "Pan View" Now all is well, so thank you very much for your help....sorry I didn't explain it very well to start with  Regards Paul
  2. When cycling through views on FS , first there is , cockpit view, next Virtual cockpit, then Tower view and finally spot view which takes you outside the a/c. In spot view I have a "Hat Button" on my CH Yoke which when I move it in 8 compass positions (360,45,90,135,180,225,270 degrees) it gives a view of the a/c from that position relative to the a/c. I've assigned this button in FSUIPC to spot view using, for example, "View Forward" from the drop down menu and a parameter in the box below of 360. This shows the a/c from behind the tail as if standing behind it. Now, before I had FSUIPC and assigned this hat switch in FS the spot view was always smooth when moving between view positions as above, now it moves very rapidly and the only view I get is at zero altitude relative to the a/c. Before I could toggle the hat switch and have an outside view from any angle and height relative to the a/c. Does this explain it better? Paul
  3. Hi Pete, Wonder if you can help, please :( I've programmed the Hat switch on my CH Yoke to cycle through the views in Spot View, but when I cycle through it is very jumpy between each view. I put all the parameters in for each position of the switch but all I get is jumpy views and no height to the views except ground level. In FS assignments I was able to move around the a/c from all angles and all heights very smoothly. Regards Paul
  4. Pete, Please ignore my last message....all ok now!! Silly B I am..... had a comma in the email address!! Thanks for your prompt reply and the utility is a great piece of work. Regards Paul
  5. Pete, Yes, I did back up the details and key. I've looked at my account at Sim Market and the key and email are exactly as I've entered into the registration boxes on the FSUIPC and the same as the back up. I keep getting an error message saying "sorry, this not a valid 12-character key". Regards Paul
  6. Hi, I am having a problem with SB3.1 and was advised to add a line in the FSUIPC.ini which would help. Now, along the way I made a bit of a booboo and deleted some of the FSUIPC files so have had to reinstall. When I came to re register it refuses my key saying not valid. I'm sure it is the correct key and is in a file with my name, email and FSUIPC= xxxxxxxxxxxx (12 digits/letters). Can you help please or do I have to buy a key to register again? I bought the registration key in 2007. Regards Paul White
  7. Thanks Pete, I'm very much obliged. Oh, re my other post re PMDG autopilot, you were quite correct on that too! PMDG does have it's own assignments (in this case the letter A) and FSUIPC worked beautifully for that, so thanks again! regards Paul :) :D
  8. Thanks very much for such a quick reply! Does that mean it's ok then? Or, how do I get out of "confuse the user" mode!!? regards Paul
  9. Is there a reason why I don't have the Fsuipc.ini file in my modules folder? I downloaded and registered last week. The only FSUIPC items I have in the folder are config settings, the manual text doc and the .dll module. Regards Paul White
  10. Sorry if this has been asked before, but I can't seem to be able to progamme the CMD A (Autopilot on/off in PMDG737) through my CH yoke using Registered FSUIPC. Daft question? I don't know but can someone point me in the right direction please? Regards Paul White
  11. Thanks for the help. When I launch FS after activating RC4 I always get a green band running across the top of the screen and then I resize and that it the window I get with the missing letters. I realise now after your reply that the green band is not ADVdisplay but a message window. I've twigged it now so thanks very much.
  12. I'm having trouble reading the lettering in the ADVdisplay window. Some of the letters are missing in the text, for example.... 2. W br f o 119 5 This, I presume is the weather brief, but why are only some letters showing? Any help very gratefully received. Thanks
  13. Whoa, whoa Peter, :? I am certainly not annoyed with you, I was /am annoyed that I can't get the thing (FS9) to work properly! The reason I queried your first reply is because I don't know what Active Camera has to do with FSUIPC and the Update. See what I mean about computer illiterate? At the moment I have your latest version of FSUIPC loaded and I'm going to try the update again tonight. I'm very sorry you took it that I was annoyed with you, nothing could be further from the truth. I have the utmost respect for all you Sim developers! :) regards,
  14. Sorry Peter, but not sure what you mean! Can you please explain to a 58 yr old PC illiterate simmer? Thanks,
  15. Hi, :?: Can you help please? And please bear with me...... I've downloaded FS9 update and FSUIPC 3.4, but everytime I load a flight the whole screen goes blank at some point after the a/c is on the tarmac! It's weird 'cos I've followed the installation directions to the letter. In my modules folder I have the new FSUIPC version and all the other .dll files (none duplicated). I also have a FSUI.dll (FS9 module) file and a FSUIPC (config settings) file with 9.1.0.40901 underneath. Should these be there? Hope you understand, cos I'm not a computer whizz, but I am annoyed!!
