  1. Follow up, with this list, and checking the P3D settings for the default CH yoke, it is EASY to get the FSUIPC to do exactly what one wants.....I have all the buttons and levers set correct for me..............OH yes, I did have a lot of trouble with the Saitek quadrants, where the 4th and 5th, levers would go vrom min -16,400 to 0, (then jump up to 16,400), while all the other went smotth from min to max.......so I calibrated those two from -16,400 to max 0, and now the levers all work smooth.............not sure if this was correct, but it worked for me, if anyone else is having this problem....................B42L8
  2. Need a little help in setting the FSUIPC buttons..........in the default CH yoke, the two red left hand buttons are called (in P3D settings) "BIEW PREVIOUS CATAGORY" and "VIEW NEXT CATAGORY"...........but when tring to set this up in FSUIPC, I cannot find this lable, so obviously cannot duplicate the default CH yoke...................has anyone done this and how??............what lables do you use??................I have the rest of the yoke buttons set except for these two, so would greatly appreciate finding this answer..............thanks, B42L8
  3. Making progress, deleted the ini file and redid all the assifnments, left the P3D contol unchecked, but left buttons 9 to 12 assifned to the CH yoke,(all other deleted)...........checked the assignments in FSUIPC and calibrated...and so far, the controls remain in place when starting P3D.....not sure tis is a correct solution, but so far it seems to be working!!...........PS, the logging showed the buttons were responding but the numbers were one digit off from the CH map??...............B42L8
  4. OK, unchecked the P3D controls, and used the FSUIPC button assignments, BUT, there are so many options, pan, view, toggle, etc.......I am trying to follow the old Samuri steps, but even that is hard t follow.............so question, is there a list of CH yoke default names of the assignments that correspond to those is FSUIPC??...got the hatswich (I think), but having trouble getting the same views on yoke buttons 9 thru 12 , in FSUIPC......thanks, B42L8
  5. thanks for the questions, been out of town till now, so just getting back into P3D.............re the hatswitch, I do not have this switch enabled in the FSUIPC button assignments, only in P3D, (CH seems to work more accurate on this switch) and I did the same setup in FSX, so just trying to duplicate. And I deleted any assignments to other buttons and lever axis in P3D that are assigned in fsuipc.................I will re assign and report back..............B42L8 log says I have 4.936c
  6. I have the same P3Dversion and have 4.936c, (reg)......have a CH yoke and Saitek pedals and two quadrants...........problem is I have to re calibrate the quadrants every time I start P3D, and on the quad 2, the first two levers go from min 16, 255 up to 0, then jump to max -16,255, whereas all the other four go full min to max, evenly.........(after calibrating ) fitst in the P3D settigs, no commands are set there, but the controller is checked..........(I do this so I can use the hatswich andn yoke buttons).........then I go to the FSUIPC assignments and set each lever, then calibrate again..........but the Prop2 and mix 1 do not follow the other prop or mix lever..........I have pulled the USB plugs and reset many times, but still does not hold.........this is only in P3D, when I use FSX, they were working like a charm, after calibrating......any thoughts to fis this.............thanks!!!! B42L8
  7. As always, thanks for the heads-up.........will get it fixed now...............B42L8
  8. I am not a techy, so cannot comment on what does what to whom, ............but when the AP is off, I control the trim with the rightmost lever on my CH yoke, (flaps control by middle lever and spoiler by left lever), WORKS PERFECT!!, but now I switch on the AP, set the altitude, the guage shows a trim up required, but does not cause the plane to rise, only if I physically move the lever up, then on reaching the set altitude, the guage shows level, but again I have to adjust the lever to hold a level flight..............this is not a big deal, and not hard to do, but I am just wondering if I have set the FSUIPC settings wrong, or there is a box left unchecked??............appreciate a comment, and have read enough posts to know that there are some things in FSX or W7,, that just cause some gremlins to cause things to not work as planned...............B42L8
  9. Version of FSUIPC4 4.60. Reg copy of FSUIPC......(I was so concerned about having the correct version number after reading other posts), I forgot to put in the program...............but the AP reacted with this version same as with previous versions, and I do have most sliders set fairly high, with a 8800GT graphics card, if this had anything to do with it...............B42L8
  10. I just installed the version 4.616, and still have this situation, (using the Kodiak, but does it on other Caronados and AFG), I have set the elevator trim control on the rightmost lever of the CH Yoke, this works great!! great for landings.............anyway, when I turn on the AP, I still have to control the trim with the lever??...........I set a altitude, and it shows up on the screen, but the lever has to be moved to control the set point..........did I set up the axis calibration wrong??............all of the other levers on this and the TQ work perfect, (even better since CH did a rebuild on the TQ!!) B42L8
  11. As usual, I have egg on the face............I finally figured out that with W7, I have to install and run programs using the "RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR" RIGHT CLICK, not just left click starts......I re-installed the CHCM as Administrator and now all the levers and buttons work as detailed in the SimSamurai manual...........and I reinstalled the FSUIPC updates same way and now ALL the levers are showing up in the Axis and Calibration as should be.........With the old XP, I was the administrator for all uses, but with W7, this requires that I have to make sure to right click to run!!........maybe this will help others..........and appreciate your patience in trying to solve the self made problems of some of your users.........So far, I have started FSX four times, and each time the calibration settings have stayed constant, the buttons in the same place, so hope this is the final solution.................regards, B42L8
  12. First part reply.........yes, I did the search for the game controller and it jumped to the CHCM, (but I was looking for the Windows game controller that showed up in W XP, looks like when CHCM is running, Windows defaults to it??, IS the Window controller the same as the FSX one??)..............And yes, good idea to do more checking in the posts........(and I am putting this in here in thought that someone else can learn from my goofs)............As I tried more corrections, I got the levers to work but the buttons went dead, UGH!..........so did two things, one, I rescanned the controllers in CHCM, and I got the W7 sounds that everything was hooked up, then I pulled the USB lines from the computer to reset the CH stuff (maybe did that first??)...........then reset the levers and buttons in FSX...........now everything is working again,( I am never quite sure how I get out of these holes)........BUT, when clicking on Modules, FSUIPC, I still get NO movement in the throttles?????....As Pete said, get it working in FSX first, so it is, but seemed to me that I had ability to set the separate throttles before, but maybe that was before I put in the CHCM..............it works for now, so all OK................Oh, one other item, I recall that in XP, we were supposed to "clear all weather" when using REX, is this still true in W7, FSX?? B42L8
  13. Again, thanks as always..........I mis spoke, when levers 4 and 6 got mixed up, I went back to FSX and re-assigned those two levers, did not calibrate............what I have been doing, (and maybe others do the same??), is to start FSX, then check the settings, which usually do not stay constant :( , reset the quadrant assignments, check and fix the buttons, then check the levers......now I do the "fly now", then go to Modules, FSUIPC, and calibrate, (usually all levers stay the same from the last start, but lately the throttles do not respond???)............and before I put the latest UT2-SP1, usually the CH controls work OK...after this, I am having these issues, but have no way of knowing if there is any real affect if this had any part in the problem.............and I like the FSUIPC as I can use two engine controls and sync the levers.............also, in XP, there was a control panel setting for "game controllers"..........I have not found that in W7, so I loaded the CH CM??..........Is there a problem in what I am doing so far??? Question, if I delete the CHCM, and stop the "enable joystick" in FSX, and set the axis and calibrate the levers and buttons in FS FSUIPC, will this work with both single and twin engine planes, and stay the same every time I start FSX?? (I will have to go back into the manual to see how to set the levers and buttons in the FSUIPC).................hope this makes sense and the answer will help others as well..............B42L8
  14. Thanks for the posts, but, being a simple engineer, I do not understand if, or what , the fix is to get the throttles back in operation (thru FSUIPC that is).........I do know that the 4th and 6th lever do get mixed up once in a while, but I go back to FSX calibration and reset, then it works...............I will try to remove the CHCM and give it another try...............would be an interesting poll number to see how much time we serious simmers spend fixing vs. flying..........I am about 80/20!!.........don't even have time to take off anymore.......regards, B42L8
  15. I put in the last update, and installed the latest CH Control Manager (clicking to run as administrator), then back to FSX, got the throttles to work without snapping around or dropping back to zero, but every time I clicked on FSUIPC and the calibration, the mixture and prop levers function, but no life in the throttles??.......tried various settings, resets, anything I could think of, but nothing works...........they just went dead yesterday?????? I am at a total loss now, tried to find something in the manual, but no luck.....anybody have an idea for a fix?? But the UT2 works, so not all is lost today.........B42L8
  16. Will do as you suggest.....but after doing your update, I deinstalled the Ultimate Traffic 2 , then put in their latest full update program (there have been a lot of small betas and fixing), and did a good defrag.........and on the first startup, the CH controls worked FINE!!......I don't understand all the programming stuff, so not even sure there is any affect on each other, but it worked last night, and my REX seemed to be better as well.................other item, did the appearance of the FSUIPC window change?? Seems like it was more streamlined, but I may just be loosing it???????? Will check again....thanks, B42L8
  17. I have the W7 FSX, just put in the latest upgrade today..........but here is the problem, I have been using the reg. copy with the FSX since I installed W7, no real problems, but last few days I have been updating Ultimate Traffic 2, (can't bellieve they are connected), and for some reason the levers on my CH Quadrant, will not stay calibrated in FSX, and in FSUIPC, they do not function at all??? Tried resetting, recalibrating, everything I could think of, put in 4.57, still no control, funny, the mixture and prop levers work fine??............just tried it again, no FSUIPC control, but the throttles are smooth thru FSX.........anybody have a fix, or at least have some idea of where the gremlins are hiding?????? B42L8
  18. Got it done!!.............I just moved the unzipped file over to FSX Modules and did the copy, and now it is there..............thanks for your much appreciated help!! B42L8
  19. Again, thanks for the super service!!!............I think I see what happened and will work on it, but so far the controls are A-OK sp I am good for the moment...............(hope my experience will help others as well) B42L8
  20. Still need answers...........I downloaded the FSUIPC 4.546 zipped file, into W7 ..Computer-7©-Download Library-X Modules.........I then extracted the file to computer-7©-Program "Files (x86)-Microsoft Games-Microsoft Flight Simulator X-Modules............now there is a FSUIPC4 DLL File 8/27/2009 9:05 PM v4.5.3.0........not the 4.546?? Please let me know where I made an errror in the install............Many Thanks for this support!! B42L8
  21. I meant the patch to get the 4.546 onto the Modules, ..........O must have done it wrong as it does not say that, will try again........thanks again B42L8
  22. Just another quick question, I installed both the patches, (I hope done correct), when I click on the FSX addons, and get the FSUIPC page, should the registered copy say 4.546?? And have the "Sync Pos" for calibration??.............So far, your suggestion to "Set" the lever with the same number as the adjacent lever, keeps the virtual levers in the same position,,,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks for that fix!! B42L8
  23. Thanks for the help, got the .53 installed as should be and also the latest..........now to start FSx and test her out.........Super responceQQ B42L8
  24. I have just installed my copy of v4, into FSX on W7, , registered it and then had problems starting W7, read one of your posts and it said it would be fixed withthe latest patch..........I loaded the v4.53 and dragged it into the v4 installed, is this the right way to do it??..........must have worked as the W7 sstarts up with no problems............but, the registered copy that shows up in FSX says it is still v4 (shouldn't it say 4.53??)............... also does not show th "sync pos" to calibrate.....thanks for the help!!! B42L8
  25. Thanks for clearing this up...........regards, B42L8
