  1. Here's the section as I have it edited: [Window.Radar Contact] Docked=920, 730, 330, 194 Undocked=920, 730, 330, 194 If I make fsuipc.ini a read only file, then these lines are preserved. But the fsuipc multi line window still appears in its default position, so editing the 'docked' line does not have any effect on the start position. If I undock it, it immediately appears at my chosen coordinates. So having it read-only makes it work when undocked, which is a reasonable solution, though I'm not sure if I am upsetting anything else by making it read-only ? It's no big deal, I just thought I would ask as I like to set up my commonly used aircraft with set default positions for all windows/panels, so they are correctly set even without a flight being saved. One reason I did this is when using Air Hauler for example, the save function does not work, as Air hauler places the aircraft itself and takes no notice of the previous window positions. Cheers Keith
  2. Yes I meant the multiline one. I know its position gets saved with an fsx save, but by altering coordinates in an aircraft panel I can predetermine the location of all windows even without a save. In relation to fsuip, I have found that I can do this with the undocked window via its ini file, but the docked window always reverts to the original default coordinates, and that is what I was trying to change. But not to worry, if I simply undock it, it immediately appears at the coordinates I have designated. BTW I can confirm, if you can quickly save a flight while a single line message is visible, it does save their position as well :) Thanks for the reply, I am impressed to see you have returned and have gone through every post with replies ! Regards, Keith
  3. Hi, is it possible to relocate the starting position of the fsuipc text window? I have set coordinates and sizes for all my panels in various aircraft, and I would like to do the same for the fsuipc window, so that it always starts in a designated place. But it seems that the coordinates get re-written every time fsx starts. regards Keith
  4. Yes, it must be something to do with UTC or local, I will keep trying, thanks again Keith EDIT yes, solved the UT2 issue, seems to be due to Daylight Saving Time, if I adjust my pc clock by an hour, it falls in line with fsx & TrafficLook.
  5. Pete, I told you I was stupid....wait for it.... the screen was partly off the edge of my monitor so I could only see the 'Help' option. Now when exactly does the hole in the floor open up?
  6. No need to apologise Pete, it's a really useful program, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything - and I must be, as you mention selecting ground or airborne, I must be stupid as I have not seen a menu, so I only have airborne readings? The other thing I am trying to work out is why, while your TrafficLook display is accurate i.e the aircraft are arriving/departing in fsx at the same time as they are displayed on the TrafficLook window; meanwhile, the UT2 status board is not accurate - I can usually find the aircraft somewhere on the status board, but when they are landing/departing on fsx, the status board shows that they arrived an hour earlier, or are leaving in an hours time. I guess I should ask about that one on the UT2 forum, but you are obviously very familiar with the inner workings of fsx, so would you be able to shed any light on it? Anyway, if you can tell me how to 'activate' TrafficLooks ground display that would be great, but in any case, it's a great utility as it is, Regards Keith
  7. Hi, my search did not turn anything up, I am monitoring traffic with TrafficLook, a very useful piece of software. I just wondered if anyone can advise whether there is any documentation for the config file? Any info at all would be useful. I know it is possible to filter for a single airport, but is it configurable in any other way? i.e. I see it has an [Airborne] section - is there a ground section option? Is it possible to increase the monitoring distance? Are there any other useful tweaks/settings? My AI Smooth is currently monitoring 44 aircraft, while TrafficLook shows 15. I'd be interested in filling in the gaps. Just curiosity really, but also to assess how well my setup is working. Regards Keith
