  1. Happy New Year to you as well Peter :) Great news and Congratulations on the Awards too ! You certainly deserve it for all your help and support through the forum let alone for the continuous updates you offer I just wish all the other product suppliers would take a look and see how it's done !! Here's to a Happy and properous 2006 for you and your family All the very best Stu-184 http://margaritaair.com/
  2.  Sorry Peter I had it set up for using FSmetar last week and completely forgot I had checked that !!!  Anyway thanks for your prompt reply. I must remember to engage my brain before posting ! Stu-184
  3. Hi Peter First of all MERRY XMAS and many thanks for your continued hard work with the FSUIPC updates you keep doing for us. It really is apprieciated  I have a question on weather settings within FS9, I am not sure if its related to FSUIPC or not. If I choose one of the preset weather scenarios in FS9, for instance the fair weather setting, I select OK and allow it to load. The weather seems to load ok but imediately clear and when I go back into the FS9 weather engine the fair weather setting has become unchecked and user defined weather selects itself.. It doesn't seem to do this all the time just occassionly ? Do you think this is related to FSUIPC in any way ? Am I missing something obvious ? I hope I have explained the situ ok and apologise if its been asked before but can't find anything directly relating to this in the archives. Cheers Peter, Stu 184 http://margaritaair.com/
  4. Hi Pete Within Teamspeak itself I have the large 0 button on the Numeric keypad set for "push to talk" When I have FS9 up and running I have also assigned a button on the CH yoke to mimic this command through FSUIPC. When I am flying I can use either to transmit, what evers most convienent at the time. Never had any problems with it and its all worked fine. I installed 3.50 just after you released it a few weeks back. Everything seems to work fine for a while , then for no apparent reason both the keyboard push button and the yoke push button won't activate the transmit in Teamspeak. The only way i can get them working again is to close Teamspeak and re-start it. I removed and re-installed Teamspeak as the other chap did hoping it would resolve the issue but it didn't. I don't appear to have any problems when FS9 isn't running, THe keyboard Teamspeak button works fine, but when I have Flight sim running this problem is occuring intermitently. Sometimes it works fine for 30 mins before failing, sometimes it packs up in 10- 15 mins. The only thing I have knowingly changed was the FSUIPC version so like I say i re-installed 3.48 last night and it worked fine all evening. Could well be just a coincidence I know bit its got me beat as to what it is. I'll put 3.50 back in this eve and activate the logging As this is intermitent it could be a long log file. What i will do is set a stopwatch going as i activate both which might at least give us a elapsed time if thats any help. I'll mail you a log file over later this eve assuming i get a failure again. Cheers for all your help Pete Stu
  5. Hi Pete I've re-installed teamspeak as the other chap did but i still seem to be getting a problem with both the keyboard assigned teamspeak button and the button on the yoke i have also assigned failing after a short while. They both completely stop working and the only way to clear it is reboot teamspeak. The keyboard button works fine without FS9 running and doesn't seem to fail at all. This has only been happening since installing 3.50 so i replaced it with version 3.48 this evening and haven't had any problems at all? Any ideas what has changed to cause the new version to cause a conflict ? Its got me beat! Best Regards Stu
  6. Hi there That's strange ! I have also had the same problem with Teamspeak since installing 3.50 ? I'll re-install today and see if that cures it. Stu MAC-184 http://margaritaair.com/
  7. :D :D :D Excellent , Glad you got there in the end ! Incidently if you find a way of changing the icon from a car to a A/C let me know  Cheers Guys Stu MAC184 http://margaritaair.com/
  8. Hi There I'm using Windows 2000 on both machines Also your Autoroute is a older version, not sure if that should effect it but evolution may have made a difference  I use the Belkin Serial/USB adaptor on the laptop with autoroute on and the normal Com2 port on the desktop with FS on. Stu MAC184 http://margaritaair.com/
  9. Hmmm There's not much you can set up in Auto-route.. One thing i didn't post before was the port settings so here goes, just in case  ------------------------- Bps - 4800 Data Bits - 8 Parity - None Stop Bits - 1 Flow control - None --------------------------- Make sure your using Com2 , I had problems using Com1 (never figured out why?) Also I am using AutoRoute 2003 not the latest one Other than that I'm running out of suggestions :? Stu MAC184 http://margaritaair.com/
  10. Hi Peter, Here's the wiring connections I used for a 9pin-9pin Null modem serial cable. Hope this helps Serial null-modem wiring 9pin ******Computer 1 --------- Computer 2 TD............pin3 -------------------pin2 RD........... pin2 -------------------pin3 RTS......... pin7 -------------------pin8 CTS......... pin8 -------------------pin7 DSR......... pin6 -------------------pin4 DTR......... pin4 -------------------pin6 Ground.....pin5 -------------------pin5 Also go into your device managers on each computer and double check that the comms port is actually set to 4800 on both computers. That was one of the problems I initially had.. good luck !! Stu MAC184 http://margaritaair.com/ Edit:- It seems to work ok on my set up on any interval over 300
  11. hi Pete's I sometimes run Microsoft Autoroute on my laptop... connected to FS I use A Belkin USB serial adaptor at the Laptop end as it has no Serial output, and a standard null modem cable (if i remember rightly !) This plugs into COM2 on the desktop(FS)computer. Here's the settings in my GPSout.ini [GPSout] Sentences=GGA,GLL,GSA,PGRMZ Interval=500 Port=COM2 Speed=4800 Hope this helps PS, The "Car" icon will show up on the map. I haven't been able to get it to move fluidly as the comms rate is slow but it update about every 5-10 secs which I can cope with Stu MAC184 http://margaritaair.com/
  12. Hi There I use a usb/serial adaptor from "Belkin" which works okay for Microsoft Autoroute if thats any help  Stu-184 http://margaritaair.com/
  13. Hi Peter Just to pass on info. for any others that may be following this thread. I have had a reply back from Eric Marciano saying you can't currently use the "trafficInfo.DLL" in his existing F16Radar gauge. But he is developing a new radar guage that will use it and work in multiplayer also, but this is currently destined for a commercial product as yet unspecified. Cheers all Stu-184 Margarita Air Club
  14. Thanks Peter Looking into the TCAS more it does give you the option of sourcing data either via the trafficinfo.dll or alternatively through FSUIPC. As standard its via the trafficinfo.dll which works in both multiplayer and off line mode without any changes required. I couldn't seem to get it to work when i selected FSUIPC mode in multiplayer. I'll contact Eric Marciano and Lee for their thoughts. Thanks for your time Cheers once again Stu Stu
  15. Ooops  Sorry Peter it was a bit ambigous when i read over it again. The TCAS in question is fitted in the DeHavilland DHC6-300 Long Nose Twin Otter Package for FS2004 by Premier Aircraft Design IVSI with TCAS II v7.0 by Lee Hetherington When I connect to our dedicated MACNET server to fly on line the TCAS can see the other traffic without any further connection needed via SB etc So i am assuming it get the info from the TrafficInfo.DLL file I wondered if it would be possible to get Eric's RADAR Gauge to source data from the same location rather than have to have a further connection to the multiplayer session. I realise these are not your creation but hoped you might have some experience with them thats all.. (I hope that makes sense... I think the cold weathers shrunk my brain!!) Thanks for the prompt reply Peter Cheers Stu
