  1. I use FSFS and in the manual it says that you do not need to register FSUIPC. They include it as part of the install but it is not a registered version. Just ignore the FSUIPC registration for FSFS. BUT, FSUIPC is well worth the addiditonal cost and I highly recommend it.
  2. I'm not sure about Vista but there used to be a setting called 'Workgroup' in the computer name section. It should be the same for both of them or they will not see each other. What happens the 10th time? Does it work? Has it ever worked correctly?
  3. Thanks Pete. I thought I had read all of the announcements. I guess not.
  4. Hi Pete, I'm also working on a motion platform. I've downloaded the SDK from your website but it says its for pre-FSX sims. I'm building for FSX. Will this be a problem? Do you have a new SDK for FSX? Thanks
  5. You might also want to look over on http://www.mycockpit.org since some of us are working on an open source software for driving motion platforms.
  6. Thanks for your speedy response Pete. I realize its a SB3 error but I was wondering if it was anything you had seen before. This is in FS9. FSX is not working that well on my system so I switched back to FS9. Here is the log. ********* FSUIPC, Version 3.50 by Pete Dowson ********* Running inside FS2004 (FS9.1 CONTROLS.DLL, FS9.1 WEATHER.DLL) User Name="***edited out*** User Addr=**edited out*** FSUIPC Key is provided WIDEFS not user registered, or expired Module base=61000000 ClassOptions: UIPCMAIN=FF7F, FS98MAIN=FF7F, FS2KMAIN=FF5E WeatherOptions(Orig)=40003605[40003605] InitDelay: 0 seconds WeatherReadInterval=4 LogOptions=00000001 DebugStatus=15 3500 System time = 15:08:35 3516 E:\Games\FS9\ 3579 System time = 15:08:35, FS2004 time = 12:00:00 (00:00Z) 3735 Client Application: "FS9" (Id=3900) 3735 E:\Games\FS9\FS9.EXE 3735 Product="Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 - A Century of Flight" 3735 Company="Microsoft Corporation" 4782 FLIGHTS\OTHER\FLTSIM.flt 4829 AIRCRAFT\c172\Cessna172SP.air 5110 Aircraft="Cessna Skyhawk 172SP" 10313 Module [M1] identified = "sb3gaugebridge.dll" 11079 Advanced Weather Interface Enabled 24594 C:\Documents and Settings\Me\My Documents\Flight Simulator Files\UI generated flight.flt 25469 Clear All Weather requested: external weather discarded 1045407 WeatherOptions set, now 40003605 (timer=0) 3167844 System time = 16:01:19, FS2004 time = 15:49:00 (22:49Z) 3167844 *** FSUIPC log file being closed Memory managed: 4 Allocs, 24109 Freed ********* FSUIPC Log file closed ***
  7. I get the following error and I'm not sure what to make of it. I've used both of these together before with no trouble. I just re-installed them because FSX is not working well on my old system so I'm back to FS9 until I upgrade sometime next year. ERROR: The SquawkBox module was unable to start because FSUIPC could not be initialized. Ensure FSUIPC is properly installed and restart Flight Simulator to try again. Is it possible to not install FSUIPC correctly??
  8. I am building a sim to ride in and I want to know if FSUIPC will feed me a constant stream of data on the current pitch, yaw, and roll position of the aircraft. Thanks in advance for your answer! Andy T
