Hi I'm going to use Radar Contact 4.3 now i have finally got FSX and are waiting for the registration key. I have already placed AdvDisplay.dll in the module folder and actually expected to see it when i started FSX and had chosen my plane, but it's not in the menu "modules" - i can only see FSUIPC. Am i doing something wrong? - should it be placed in another folder than "modules" in FSX or is there another version than version 2.14 ?? This module is rather essential when you use Radar Contact :) Cheers Lars Klüver Copenhagen Denmark

If you reinstalled Windows or rolled back the Registry you will need to re-register. Use the same details and enter them again -- cut and paste from the KEY file if you like. It does actually explain this in the User Registration section of the FSUIPC User Guide, thus: Regards Pete Thank's Pete! Have had a registred version for a year or two now of FSUIPC. I even had a crash where i had to re-configurate and no problems in making it work again, as i just had to place the key under "modules". But after this crash! - Eventhough the key is placed in the module library it still tells me that i'm NOT a registred user.. The FSUIPC.dll file i use is the one i used before the crash, so they should work together.. Now - after i'm up again, the drive letter has changed and i no longer have a F-drive. Could this be the cause? Should add that i'm flying in FS2004 (COF) and my OS is Windows XP home edition.

Thank's so much for the help, Pete! I just tested it and it's running now. So now i can go on to FSmeteo and Radar Contact - not to mention PAI and installing panels and planes again... *sigh* :? :roll:

Gee - an extra look at some of the CD rom's paid off!! I found it. Just one thing more - where is it the FSUIPC.KEY should be placed? So i don't need to look like this: :oops: hehe...

Illegal? Are you trying to make me pay again? This is amazing. I pay for the product and download the products from your site and the first time i allow myself to ask you a question i have to experience to be accused for using something illegal. It was merely meant as an explanation what i wrote in my last message to end it up - but with this answer i won't bother you again. Sorry for ever bringing it up.

Vers. 3.4.0.0. I'm using that again and it works perfectly well, so i'll stick with that one. It's dated october 1st. :-)

Though having no clue what's caused it, i solved it yesterday, by choosing an old situation i saved last year. There the wind was, so now it's back to normal... The simulator works in mysterious ways .... Another thing. The day before yesterday i downloaded and installed your latest FSUIPC and i noticed that the texture files on the planes didn't show up. I just had a white blank plane. Tried everything - but nope. Yesterday i decided to go back to the FSUIPC i used before - and voila - the textures were back again... A coinsidence - or.. ?

It was not my intention to give anyone the impression that i thought it had to be FSUIPC, but i felt i had to ask you too in my investigation of what it can be, as it's a complete mystery to me. Thinking about it, i should have figured out Jeppesens weather don't use FSUIPC, but i'm not that much of an expert... But you've given me a couple of ideas i'll go on with. Could be interesting to see what will happen if i enter a certain force of wind. I also look into the other thing. Corruption could be a possible reason, as i haven't touched any settings pryor to the occurance of the problem - except installing FS9.1. It's of course easier to take off and land when there's no wind, but not very realistic... :D Thank's again, Pete for taking your time and have a nice weekend!

It was suggested by someone in another forum that it could be the taxiwind, but i haven't activated that. I'm running FS2004 and in the beginning i did have ground wind - but suddenly it's no longer the case. It's not only that one are told that the weather is calm. If you press SHIFT+Z you can read that the wind is 00. I'm using Radar Contact and 50 miles from the airports i'm told what weather there is - and no matter how stormy i'm told it is - there's absolutely no wind. This is really weird. You use it and it works for you.. At first i also suspected FSmeteo - though the only thing i've changed is the FSUIPC. But when it's the same with Jeppesen's - then... Someone must be out to get me... :lol:

I'm a bit puzzeled that lately the wind at the ground has disappeared. It doesn't matter whether i use FSmeteo or Jeppesen's weather. When i approach an airport, i'm told the strenght of the wind and the direction, but whenever i'm on the ground - i'm told it's "calm" - and if i check it says it's zero - also eventhoug it tells me the direction of the wind. Since it occurs in both weatherprograms - the problem must be elsewhere. I have been through the settings in FSUIPC, but can't see any explanation. But i still try to post the question here, as i really can't se any other explanation that it must be FSUIPC - unless it's the update to FS9.1 - which is to blame. Maybe someone has experienced this and knows the solution?
