  1. Glad you've got it working to your satisfaction. Charles
  2. Welcome. Did you resolve your issue? Responding with how you did might be useful to simmers with a similar issue in the future. Best, Charles
  3. Caveat: I am not an expert with programming settings with FSUIPC. My recollection is that you can set different buttons for individual aircraft, i.e. aircraft specific settings. I also believe that in the FSUIPC dialog it let's you chose the controller. So, my tentative response is yes you can configure the Yoke separately from the Flight Stick. I used to use both but found that there was "feed back" from the flight control I was not using that caused interference with the one I was using. I understand that not all users have that. Charles
  4. Bob, Thanks for responding. I visited your site. It is nice. To calibrate the fourth lever, I checked to see that sensitivity was set to high. I then checked to see if FS9 had assigned that axis. I deleted the axis and re-selected it with FS9. I went back into FSUIPC and turned on the filter for that lever (I don't know why - just figured I'd try it). Well, whether the filter had anything to do with it or not it worked. Incidently, you helped me before so I was aware of the sensitivity issue. Thanks again! Charles
  5. Pete, I had to re-install my system after a terrible crash. I got everything back up and running with the exception of the fourth throttle lever which I can not program with FSUIPC 3.5. On the page to calibrate the throttles I can do all but the fourth. After I reset the fourth I can then set either the rev, idle, or max. When I go to set either of the remaining settings I get a ding sound and the pervious setting is added rather than the next setting. Has anyone had this happen or have any suggestions? Thanks! Charles
  6. Dick, I solved my most frustrating problems with calibration by setting my sensitivies to high. In some cases they were actually turned off. Glad to read you found the solution you were looking for. Charles
  7. Egbert, I've had the TQ now for a few months and enjoy it immensely. My experience has been that with certain panels, e.g., Tony D'Ambrosio's 777 panel, the spoiler works just as you would like. It is armed in the detente position and extends according to the amount you activate it. I've also found that on certain panels once I activate the spoiler it will not come down using the same lever arm, so I also set aside a toggle button mainly for the purpose of lowering the spoiler to the neutral position. While you're waiting for Pete to make the changes he is considering, if you're like me and like to tinker, experiment by trying a few different aircraft and see how they respond.
  8. I was able to set the controls using FSUIPC 3.47. All of the necessary controls are there to set Nav, Beacon, Recognition, Logo, and Taxi lights. I hope this helps someone else looking to assign those lights. Charles
  9. Pete, This whole exercise is about assigning the nav, beacon, logo, and taxi lights to the throttle quad. I have FSUIPC 3.45. I did not see these controls in the pull down list in FSUIPC 3.45. I will check again when I get back home. If they are not there what are my options? Thanks! Charles
  10. "Why do you want to start messing with 'offsets'?" Because I don't know what I'm talking about! :? A poster suggested using Offsets to program controls in FS9. Pete, A poster pointed me to the list of controls on your site and I downloaded them. The poster explained that I can use the controls from your list by inserting them in the appropriate section in my FS9 config file. I checked and can see the joystick assignments in the config file. My plan was to assign the various lights to buttons on my throttle quad by copying and pasting them from your list into the throttle quad section of the FS9 config file. You seem to be suggesting that I can find the same list in FSUIPC in your pull down list under button assignments. Are all the Controls found in your downloadable list also in that pull-down list in FSUIPC? Thanks! Charles
  11. Thanks Pete, Jackpilot, and zfehr I'm away but will give that a try when I get back. Actually, I sort of suspected the axis problem and had already deleted those, but I did not have a chance to test my results. Pete, I'll check the sensitivities to see if I've set them too high for slew mode. Best, Charles
  12. Can someone point me to step by step instructions for setting offsets. I would like to set the various lights (beacon, nav, and taxi) to joystick buttons but I don't know how. Thanks! Charles
  13. Changing the sensitivities fixed the missing throttle problem. However, now my slew mode has gone haywire. Whenever I hit the Y key to enter slew mode the aircraft just spins really fast and is uncontrollable. Also, when I try to use slew through AFCAD2 the same thing happens. Anyone have any suggestions? Thanks! Charles
  14. Pete, I talked to CH Support not 15 minutes ago, and they seem to confirm what you're suggesting. I'm not in front of my Simming Machine, but I have to admit that in all my tinkering checking sensitivities escaped me completely. I'll do that and post another message if I have success for the benefit of people having a similar problem. Thanks again, Charles
  15. Pete, I'll double check the sensitivities when I get home and look forward to FSUIPC 3.47 when I get home. I'm reading over issues at the CH forum and see that there are other people who are having the same issues that I'm having. I really think the CH Drivers are causing some of the problems. Perhaps they'll come out with upgrades. Best, Charles
  16. Pete, I figured I'd post in a thread already started rather than starting a new topic. Issue: the fourth throttle axis is not active in FSUIPC. I assign the throttles in FS9, but when I go to FSUIPC under Throttles I can set the Reverse, IDLE, and Max for the first three thrust levers but not for the fourth. Question: is there something I'm doing incorrectly? Can you suggest a solution? Incidently, your product has pretty much saved the day because I've had considerable difficulty using CH Products Control Manager program to configure their Throttle Quadrant.
