  1. cheers for getting back to me so quickly... I haven't got a clue what your on about!!!! But I'll have a good read through the WideFS documentation tonight and hopefully will no more about Classname and memory-mapped file tomorrow so that I can give it a try. might need some more guidance if I come up against a brick wall, but i won't pester you till I've read the documentation! thanks again
  2. Hi Pete, I really hope you can help me with this one.......... Is it possible to connect to two copies of flight sim at the same time (from the same c++ winapi on the same PC)? I have one version running on my PC which I connect to using FSUIPC, the other version is on another PC and I need to connect to this one at the same time (via wideFS) so that I can extract variables from both flight sims and compare the data to make sure it is the same. There is a reason why I need two copies of flight sim up and running, which I am more than happy to post should you require more info, however the reason is rather long winded... Thanks
  3. Thanks Scruffyduck, I have dowloaded Pete's FSUIPC.dll file and also the FSUIPC programmers SDK which includes FS Interrogate, and I have managed to extract variables using this program. I am now trying to see how the UIPCHello program works, the exe files seems to work fine but the .cpp file does not compile, therefore I can't make any ammendments to it in order to get different variables out. Bearing in mind I have no C++ programming skills whatsover so am kind of relying on modifying the UIPCHello program rather than writing my own. I'm also hoping to pick up enough C++ skills on the way to have a basic understanding of what is going on. What I am trying to do is read in the variables, convert them to ARINC 429 words and re-transmit them to some avionics equipment (Displays, and Flight management computer), the variables I am trying to extract are position, attitude and air data variables (Pitch, Roll, heading, etc...) If you have any experience in this field, or have any more advice to offer, I would be more than grateful.
  4. I was going to use the offsets list contained within your FSUIPC for Programmers.doc and enter them manually into a new project within FSInterrogate.....would have taken me ages and would have been very stupid considering this has already been done in the fsuipc.fsi file  Anyway, I'll have to try it again tonight (i'm at work at the moment) thanks again for your help :D
  5. thanks pete. I have found a list of the "offsets" so I should now be able to extract the variables using the FS Interrogate program Marc
  6. Hi, I hope someone out there can help me How do I extract the variables form microsoft flight sim 2002? I need to extract variables such as altitude, pitch angle, roll angle, heading, etc... Is there a way of doing this using the FSUIPC.dll???? I'm new to all this so any help would be much appreciated.
