  1. I'm using the VAFinancials ACARS program. We install Makerways. exe in the VAF5 folder inside C:\Programs(86x)\ The other copy is located in my Prepar3Dv2 inside the Program Data folder where the Scenery.cfg file is found. I'm having a compatibility problem with Windows10. Clicking on "Properties" of Makerways.exe I found a drop down box inside the Compatibility tab showing the selection of available Windows programs; windows 10 is not one of them. I'm thinking this may be my problem because Makerways will not build for me. The VAFS5, and Prepar3D are allowed throug my virus program. Please excuse my ignorance. Trying to explain this the best way I can. Any help will be appreciated. Regards, Ken
  2. I configured the Axis Assignment direct to FSX and had the same results. The Cub's throttle will go to closed but any movement will take it to the mid position. Will post something about this in the A2A forum.
  3. Thanks Pete, Will get the update and recalibrate
  4. I just purchased A2A's brand new Piper Cub J-3 ( An outstanding sim by the way) and am having trouble setting the range of motion for the throttle control. I calibrate the joystick using throttle 1 and, using the CH THC, it will not pull the planes throttle control to idle. I then connected a Saitek Cyborg EVO and got the same results. Is there a way of adjusting the FSUIPC joystick calibration so the THC or joystick will move it to full idle. I'm running all of this in FSX and using FSUIPC4 version 4.520.
  5. Thanks for your response Pete; Highly appreciated sir.
  6. By "configured through FSUIPC" do you mean assigned in FSUIPC and calibrated in FSUIPC, or only calibrated in FSUIPC? Assigned and Calibrated in FSUIPC. If assigned in FSUIPC, are they assigned directly to calibration, or to the FS control? If assigned in FSX have you checked that the sensitivity and null zone sliders are correct? Is there any sign of life from that throttle lever in the FSUIPC4 axis assignments, or in the calibrations? Yes there is You don't say, you only say it doesn't work in FSX itself. Mayne it is merely a corruption of your settings (the FSUIPC4.INI file). I would also need to know the version number of FSUIPC4. If not the latest, please try that first. 4.40 I don't know how my computer got wind of your response but when I fired off FSX to get your answers everything is working just fine. Do you have power or what :) :) If this happens again should I just delet the .ini file and rebuild my settings? If everything else is working it is highly unlikely to be anything related to SimConnect. In fact if they are assigned in FSUIPC4 for direct calibration SimConnect isn't being used for the throttle, at least with recent versions of FSUIPC4. Pete
  7. Everything was working fine. Throttle quad configured through FSUIPC; just flying until a week ago. For some reason the nr two throttle would not respond. Tried several planes, nothing - everything works fine in FS9 - just that one problem in FSX. Read something about possibly reinstalling Simconnect. Any advice would really be appreciated. If Simconnect is suggested could you provide a source link. Thank you
  8. Andy, Thank you for the information. All I need to do now is learn how to fly the thing.
  9. I'm learning how to virtually fly a helicopter. I have the CH Yoke Rudder Pedals and Throttle Quadrant. All the fixed wing that I use are configured through FSUIPC -to the extend needed. Could someone please tell me if there is a way to configure the throttle quadrant settings, through FSUIPC, to fill the role of both the throttle and collector?
  10. Peter is on vacation until the 10 but I thought someone may be able to answer this in his absense. I am running two monitors - dual View - and occasionally the screens will loose control. A program I have open on the second monitor will jump to the 1st monitor. The task bar will jump to the top and become fragmented, etc, etc. The only way I have found to clear it is going to the task manager and rebooting. My question is would running Wide FS on a single computer with dual monitors provide stability or do I look at another way of solving the problem?
  11. I'm not an expert, or even a novice but I have both FS9 and FSX on the computer. I use the FSUIPC for FSX - FSUIPC4, and FSUIPC 3.75 for FS9.
  12. Thanks Pete, I found the problem just before turning out the lights last night. I did not reinstall the 3rd party software properly. Corrected that one and everything is working just fine now.
  13. Long story short I had to uninstall and reinstall FS9. Everything works just fine. I installed a 3rd party airplane and started FS9 again. Everything worked fine except the sound for this plane. I found that FSUIPC needs to be installed and kicked myself for not installing it anyway. I copied the FSUIPC.dll - ver 3.75 - over to the modules folder started FS9, selected the plane and hit the fly button. The splash screen came up for about one second before I was informed that FS9 was shutting down. Tried stock planes, etc. to no avail. Tried a version 4 dll and that did not work either. Checked certificates, double checked files, I'm stumped and am looking for some help; please. I am running VISTA Ultimate. Was not having any problems with FSUIPC before the uninstall. Here's the ini file, such as it is. [General] History=2UZS6MOJ4EI0NC3BI2VF9 TCASid=Flight TCASrange=40 TrafficScanPerFrame=10 AxisCalibration=No CentredDialogue=Yes ShowMultilineWindow=Yes SuppressSingleline=No SuppressMultilineFS=No ClearWeatherDynamics=Yes OwnWeatherChanges=No WeatherReadInterval=4 MoveBGLvariables=Yes TimeForSelect=4 WeatherReadsFast=No MainMenu=&Modules SubMenu=&FSUIPC ...
  14. Thank you Pete for your words of wisdom and being able to read through my questons. With what you told me I configured the control Axis and Joystick functions using FSUIPC for specific planes, and used the FSX generic button and switchs for the global assignements. Everything appears to be working just fine now.
  15. If there's some instruction on the following would someone please point me to it. I want to know if I can use the FSX button and switch configuration while using FSUIPC A/C specific input for the CH throttle Quadrant, CH FS Yoke and CH Rudder Pedals? I want to use the standard views for all AC. Regards Kenml
