  1. CH Yoke: I have assigned buttons 2, 3 and 4 (right-hand horn) for FS keyboard commands; button 2 = Shift + P (pushback) button 3 = 1 (swing tail to left) button 4 = 2 (swing tail to right)...... So far so good! This works fine until Radar Contact is active when the commands 1 and 2 are used by RC for their menu and, therefore, only the pushback facility is available. I deactivated the above buttons from the FSX\Options\Controls function. Page 30 of the manual, bullet point #2 inferrs that the above FSUIPC settings (Buttons) would operate "outside" of the RC requirements - or am I reading this wrong? Any comments and an expert eye would be appreciated. Thanks. KH.
  2. Pete, thanks for your very prompt and comprehensive reply. I shall make every effort to operate the aircraft via keyboard input only to see if that works with the default MS controls and will let you know. I did contact CLS about the DC-10 and their Airbus series but the only response was "we do not support GoFlight". Very succinct! Thanks again.
  3. I have nine GF modules: MCP-Pro; 2 x GF166A; GF46; 2 x RP48; T8; P8; LGT. These are running FS9 (and FSX to a lesser extent!) with XP. I have recently installed the Flight1 Super 80 (to FS9) and find some anomalies! MCP-Pro, GF166s (Nav and Comms radios), GF46 (ADF, XPDR, Altimeter) and LGT (Gear, Flaps and Trim) all work fine. The problems relate to switch and button assignments on the T8 and P8. The T8 is assigned to Battery, Avionics, Fuel Pump and Engine starts/fuel run. Using the T8 to switch on battery achieves nothing! However, switching on the battery from the aircraft panel button switches on the battery and lights up the T8 switch. Similarly, various lights assigned to the P8 are not activating from the P8 but illuminate when activated from the panel buttons. Another example is pressing the P8 button assigned to Nav Lights, this switches on the Nav lights momentarily and illuminates the P8 button but on taking finger pressure off the button the GF indicator light goes out as do the Nav lights!!! I have a fully paid licensed version of FSUIPC but (to my shame!) I can't get my head round it. What I need, I think, is a FSUIPC for Dummies manual! Would some kind person be able to advise and point me in the right direction? I also noticed the same difficulties with the DC-10 Collection (Just Flight/CLS) and some others (commercial) but have to say that ALL of the freeware aircraft and panels out there work perfectly. Does that mean that these commercial add-ons are utilising a different code from that of MSFS? Soft landings to all.
  4. Strange, as all it does if regurgitate the keys it saw pressed. I'll check that here. Glad you solved it anyway. Regards Pete No problem! It's a computer!!!!!!!! :D Trust you had a good holiday. Best regards.
  5. Problem solved.............................. FSUIPC was not activating/recognising my PTT key selection "Pause/Break" despite showing up in the FSUIPC buttons window! On suggestion from fellow "Simmer" I changed the key selection and now it functions correctly. Panic over :D :D :D
  6. Hi You have to checked "Select for FS controls" ! After that you will find the functions on the right side. No, the only PTT functions there do not cover Teamspeak (only SB and two others). Thanks for your interest anyway. Anybody else, please!!!
  7. I have used the "freeware" fsuipc.dll module since shortly after discovering FS (six years ago). Yesterday I purchased a full registration in order to take advantage of the Button assignments feature. However, I cannot make this work for me! I know it will be something simple (it usually is!) - I just need a point in the right direction and a friendly critical eye at what I have done. My first venture was to assign a Push To Talk button. My VA uses Teamspeak as the voice programme and I have assigned keyboard "Pause" for the push-to-talk action. I want to assign this function to the #1 button my CH Yoke. I have disabled the #1 button in FS (Parking Brake) - Pressed the #1 button on the Yoke - shows as "Joystick 1" "Button 0" in the FSUIPC Buttons page - Checked the box to show a tick for "Select for key press" - pressed the "Pause" key on instruction to press key - Checked the box to show a tick for "Key press to repeat while held". I need to be able to make this work before moving on to other functions! I am currently using FS9 and XP Home (SP2). System: Asus A8v deluxe MoBo, AMD 64 3500+, 1Gb DDRAM, XFX 256Mb nVidia 6600GT, PNY 256Mb nVidia 6200. Some useful advice, please.........
