  1. Thanks a lot, John. It was sioc trying to write the variables. I put a delay as you said and it's working. Great support. Enjoy the rest of your holiday. Regards Alvaro
  2. Good afternoon. I’m a FSUIPC user form 2004. I have a home made cockpit made with Iocards and SIOC language. I connect SIOC with FSUIPC7 for FS2020 on Windows 10. I also have a panel made with AirManager connected to FS2020, For same of the switches I couldn’t find a FS2020 variable, so I use any unused variable to connect the switch with AirManager. For instance, in a pressurization panel, for some switches I don’t find the FS2020 variable. So I see that the variable “GPS APPROACH APPROACH INDEX” that is not in use, I use it for that purpose even if it is no related. I assing an offset in myOffsets.txt, like 0x66C0, 4, GPS APPROACH APPROACH INDEX, I64, Number, w Then in AirManager I read that variable and move the switch in the AirManager panel. It worked great until recently. Now, the first time I load FS2020 I get this error in the FSUIPC.log file and the variable doen’t work. 16641 Running in "KittyHawk", Version: 11.0.282174.999 (SimConnect: 11.0.62651.3) 16641 MSFS version = 11.0.282174.999 16641 Initialising SimConnect data requests now 16641 Adding simvar 'GPS APPROACH APPROACH INDEX' to offset 66C0 (size 4, type 'I64') for read/write access 16641 Adding simvar 'GPS APPROACH WP INDEX' to offset 66C4 (size 4, type 'I64') for read/write access 16641 Adding simvar 'GPS APPROACH WP COUNT' to offset 66C8 (size 4, type 'I64') for read/write access 16657 Mapping custom control numbers 69632 - 84232 16672 Maximum number of custom events available is 1024 (defined by ini parameter MaxNumberOfCustomEvents) 22235 User Aircraft ID not supplied -- trying default 22766 Exception 3 "UNRECOGNIZED_ID", Ref 19649, Index param 2 on write SetData for "GPS APPROACH APPROACH INDEX" 22766 Exception 3 "UNRECOGNIZED_ID", Ref 19650, Index param 2 on write SetData for "GPS APPROACH WP INDEX" 22766 Exception 3 "UNRECOGNIZED_ID", Ref 19651, Index param 2 on write SetData for "GPS APPROACH WP COUNT" If I just exit FSUIPC and load it again then it works. 1. Any idea of how to fix this? 2. Is there any available or custom variables in FS2020 that I can use for this purpose? Thank you very much Alvaro Alvaro
  3. Of course you can add my notes to the gpsout documentation. I found the information in this page: http://www.homepages.mcb.net/bones/04fsal/GPS.htm Alvaro
  4. I just connected a Garmin GPSMAP 496 to fs2004. I'll post the settings, just in case someone needs it. Thank you, Pete for gpsout. It works great. First of all, you will have to buy the optional cable: Part Number: 010-10514-00 Description: PC interface cable (RS232 serial port connector) for Garmin 496 The 496 comes with a USB cable, but I could not make it work. I think the GPS does not send the nmea data over the usb cable, only over the RS232 cable. In gpsout.ini the settings are: [GPSout] Sentences=AV400 Interval=1500 Port=COM1 (or COM2 or whatever) Speed=9600 In the garmin go to "main menu" then "Set up" and then to the "interface" tab. For "Serial data format" select "Aviation in" Don't forget to put the GPS in "simulation mode" in the "system mode" Regards, Alvaro
  5. Thank you Pete, I'll try later, but I think that I need the serial RS-232 cable, as the NMEA may not be sent over the USB cable. Alvaro
  6. Has anyone connected a Garmin 496 to fs2004 using GPSOut? Can it be done with the USB cable or do I have to buy the opcional serial one? I would apreciate if someone has connected it and can post the parameters in "gpsout.ini" and the configuration in the garmin "setup". Thank you very much. Alvaro
  7. Thank you. My problem now is that I don't know to write the 8 bytes in one block. For instance what number do I have to write for control 66507 (KEY_PANEL_ID_OPEN) with the parameter 70 (my window ID) ? Regards Alvaro
  8. I hope someone can help me with this one. I would like to open and close panels (windows in panel.cfg) from an external program (SIOC). What are the offsets to open, for instance panel #2 (or better panel with ID 70) ? And also, what are the offsets where I can see if a panel (by number or by ID) is visible at a certain time? Thank you very much for you help. I have not found this in the documentation. Sorry if it is somewhere. Alvaro
