  1. If you have to issue a go-around (which should be very rare at LAX with the seperate landing and departing runways) you can assign a heading to avoid other a/c.

You should plan and time so you do not have this eventually, do not clear a departure if an arrival may conflict. Aircraft in the air have priority over aircraft on the ground, Once you get a routine going it becomes quite easy to manage.

With fly xyz heading after departure the ac will turn the most direct route to the assigned heading. if 360, then it will turn right, if 180 then left, it makes no difference which runway they are on.

  2. I dont play PHL although I do have it downloaded, as I dont play it is it still in its original supplied state (I havent tweeked anything) so I was able to try and replicate assuming it was the same as your copy, which it should be.

I just landed an E170 on 26 and it vacated second to last right exit of runway 26 as you'd expect.

I'm unabel to open any of your attachements but if I could get a screen shot of the runway in the editor and compare it to mine maybe able to see something.

  3. mistakes i have made, maybe worth checking,

    - a/c withing 30 degrees (i aim for 25 degrees) of final approach path when cleared to ILS (wont work if still turning onto heading)

    - Altitude, 3-4,000 at around 20 mile will accept

    - wind direction, you'll see the extended centre line on the active into wind runway, sounds obvious but its a mistake i make when the wind swithes direction on me and the runways change

    - make sure your using correct clearence "XYZ123 cleared ILS runway 25L approach" sometimes my machine missis the word approach or i release the ppt button before the speach recognition incerts the final word into the comand line

    Does visual approach comand work?

  4. I dont think the game will send an a/c if there is no terminal gate available or about to become available so doubt that is the reason.

Just have a look in the editor for the airport and make sue the taxiway's are actually conected to the centre line of the runway with the black dots, unlikley unless you have previously edited and maybe moved something by mistake, but this would cause the error your getting.

If you have without realising shifted the entire runway a little from its original position it would cause all the errors your getting i think,

Does it happen on all runways?

  5. Hi all

Just wondered if anyone had a more detailed or better explained instructions they have done for creating the night images, the manual instructions get me as far as the spotlight image, after that i struggle to get the same image effects as those of LAX for example.

    Cheers

  6. 30 degrees is correct, but remember runways are rounded up to near 10 degrees, ie 267 degree runway may be called Runways 27.

sending an aircraft on a heading of 300 to intercept will not work because the 30 degree will stop at 297 degrees,

you can check the actual headings to be acurate, or just put them on a 25 degree intercept course. :)

  7. You need the backgound photo and photoshop, you can copy it though the airfiled editor but it is hard work, once copied you can save it and just keep updating it as things change.

For example there are several new/moved taxiways and terminals at LAX,

the American Eagle terminal has moved from oposit TBIT to East of T8

    new E8 Taxiway at 24L

    new Taxiway R

Taxiway S has moved West to allow fro new TBIT

    new Taxiway T/T1

There will be a Terminal 0 in due course and 24R to be moved further North.

    Lots going on at Lax.

  8. They could have called it "Terminal 1A" it would have been easier, but they have labled them after the concourse only by the looks of it

    Terminal 1 Concourse A

    Terminal 1 Concourse B

    Terminal 1 Concourse C

    Terminal 2 Concourse D

    Terminal 2 Concourse E

    Not sure about the busses....

  9. Not sure on the first point, i may get it on my airports, i never check the log file, as long as the game plays as you expect it to....

second point though, It is the runway length, i get it at JFK when a heavy jet (748 for example) lands on runway 22L/4R and cant stop before the end, the artificial pilot doesn't know the runway maybe too short to land on so its up to you to put them on the right runway. some planes will have to use the longer runway regardless of your traffic flow direction.

If you think the a/c should be able to land on said runway, maybe double check you have scaled the top down image correctly, i only say because i've messed up the scale before!

  10. Hello again,

Ok amend these two issues and all should be good :)

    1) You need to resize ADIRS and Night_2 inages to 1024 x 1024 px each.

    2) You also need to move the incoming airway lines to the start of the runway, the game doesn't support displaced threasholds, so will not pick up the airway unless it is at the end/begining of the runway.

    Happy gaming!

    Gareth
