  1. Pete, Andy I found the Cursor Arrow keys very easy to remember when positioning the Camera in EZdok, so didn't really want to re-program the camera directional keys elsewhere. When I finally got my brain out of reverse gear, I realised I had a spare hat switch on my controller (Saitek X52) on the throttle, so I have programmed the EZdok camera to work there, leaving Num 2 and 8 free for the wheel trim  Thanks for the kick up the backside  Glen
  2. Hi Pete I have been using a iNav Tilt Wheel on my keyboard (Logitech LX700) for some time as a elevator trim control. When setup within FSX - Options - Controls, to set the nose down trim I rotate the wheel forward and Num 8 appears in the key press window and setting trim up I rotate the when backwards and Num 2 appears. So it seems Logitech have programmed this wheel to use the up/down cursor keys, this has worked perfectly well for a few years. I have recently bought the camera package EZdok and unfortunately this also uses the Cursor keys or Num 8 and 2 (which I think are the same) so I can no longer use the wheel for trim. I have posted a question on the Logitech forum to see if I can re-program this wheel to use another key combination but after several days no reply. The other option is, can I use FSUIPC to do this, if so can you point me in the right direction please. I would use the 'Mouse Wheel' from FSUIPC options, but I use this for rotating controls like Heading, Course, Radio Freq's etc on the aircrafts panel. Thanks Glen
  3. I have loaded up ShowText onto my client computer and it works a treat. Thanks again Pete Glen
  4. Hi Pete I have posted a question on the Radar Contact forum regarding using the Client computer screen to show the RC Info Screen (not the GUI) instead of blocking areas of the FSX panel - you may have seen it. The RC manual mentions using 'ShowText' which is part of AdvDisplay. Is there a way to achieve this using the later versions of FSUIPC, as it would be more benifictial to have the RC window on my laptop. Glen
  5. SUCCESS :) You got me thinking Pete when you said it was an old installation and you were 100% right, I hadn't touched any RC files for years. I remember a few years ago on the RC forum someone recommending copying the FS9 folder for FSX and redirecting the program to the main FSX installation folder. This seemed to work ok until DWC came along, but by that time I was using Vatsim and not RC, thats why the problem has only just arisen for me as I thought I would give RC another go. I un-installed the old program and reinstalled version 4.3 3845 just received from JD, all now works with correct ATIS. Sorry for giving you a few head scratching moments there Peter, your great support finally got this annoying problem fixed. Many thanks and best regards Glen
  6. Pete I will carry out the test as you instructed. Do I need to delete the last FSUIPC Log or does the program create a new one every time I start FSX ? Glen
  7. Hi Pete 2nd log on its way, the new test FSUIPC file didn't work, more info in the email. In this log I did request the EGFF ATIS 3 times via RC, each time it gave the EGFF ATIS but only local ambient wx at altitude not the METAR. Glen
  8. OK, will do Just tried it with the RealAir Turbine Duke same problem Glen
  9. Thanks Pete I was actually running WideClient on the AS2012 laptop, sorry wrong choice of words calling it WideFS and Network. Also I am using DWC mode, again apologies for not mentioning that. I do have all the updates necessary for RC to get the correct destination ATIS and I have started WideClient of the non FSX PC but its still not working. Only thing I can think of is I am using the PMDG 737NGX and FS2Crew which has caused other problems in Aivlasoft's EFB for example. I'll try another aircraft and not use FS2Crew and see if that makes any difference. Glen
  10. Hi Peter I'm having problems with Radar Contact not getting the correct destination ATIS Wx. I understand this can be caused by not using the latest versions of AS2012, FSUIPC and WideFS. All have been updated AS2012 SP1 build 4448, FSUIPC is ver 4.823 and WideFS 6.94. I suspect the problem is FSUIPC not communicating properly with AS2012 over a network. I am running WideFS and both WideFS and FSX say 'connected'. Is there any way I can confirm FSUIPC and AS2012 are communicating correctly ? I looked in the FSUIPC Log but couldn't see anything related to AS2012. Glen
  11. Spot on Sir ! When I checked the Exceptions list in Windows Firewall there were two entries for Flight Simulator, only one was ticked. I have now ticked the other entry, fired up FSX, now WideFS connects instantly. Many thanks for your help :D Glen
  12. I have recently reinstalled FSX and FS9 due to a computer problem on my Vista 64 based system. FSUIPC 4.28 (WideFS7) and 6.75 have successfully been installed and registered on my main PC together with WideFS 6.75 on my Laptop. Both FSX and FS9 are on the same hard drive and within the main primary folder (Microsoft Games) the network appears ok as FS9 connects instantly, but FSX with a registered version of FsWide7 refuses to connect. I have obviously forgotten something in the setup as it was working fine before the reinstall. Any idea what I may have missed seeing that FS9 connects normally. Thanks Glen
  13. Pete, Just read it wrong, I have since downloaded FSUIPC4 and read the installation instructions, realise I should have done that in the first place ....sorry  Glen
  14. Jim, Thanks for the replay Since posting the original message I've been reading the installation instructions, although WIDEFS7 now comes with FSUIPC4 it still needs a seperate registration. Glen
