Hi, This is the second time I am trying to install V5.0 (FlightControlReplayV5.0.2304.01.exe) for MSFS on to my W10 PC. The first time I had the same message after install but got to a stage where the icon appeared in the sim but everything was greyed out. I messed around trying to update simconnect etc. & ended up completely crashing MSFS rendering it useless. After days of re-installing everything, MSFS runs absolutely fine & now I'm having the same "Simulator connection failed or SimConnect is not properly installed" message come up. I do have MSFS installed on a different "E" drive, so I am wondering if this is why I am getting the dreaded message & FCR is not seeing it on the different drive. SimConnect is properly installed as everything works sweet. **UPDATE: I have uninstalled FCR & re-installed it on my E drive (where MSFS resides) & the problem remains!** Please help as I am stuck with a non functional application which I paid good money for. Also I should mention, I am not an expert with changing code etc, so the easiest / step by step method would be great. I look forward & would appreciate any help in solving my issue. I agree, nice product & would be great if it was available for P3D V4! Used it all the time if FSX & must admit, it is a pleasant touch on real flights too!

Pete, After all this time I think I know what the problem was! I completely removed EZdok removing all traces & mad a fresh install, then by going through everything (as the problem happened again with panning) I discoverd under Joystick configuration within the program, my controller had to be selected in J1! Now it works sweet! Will keep you updated if anything else arises. Apologies for before but thanks to you I managed to sort it - oh & I have configured the change view button on the joystick as keypress S (view next catagory). Thanks Rick Rick

HI Pete, The only reason there is only one aircraft is that I have re-installed FSUIPC & want to start fresh with one aircraft before moving on to the next (by using this as my generic setup). Thanks for your observations, I'll delete the line as recommended. Will browse through the documents too. I have also just completely removed EZdok & will attend to this later. Hi Pete, Just to let you know I quit EZdok & panning worked smooth & effortless in all directions, I restarted again with it running & had the same old problem again! I did a re-install of EZdok the other day & the original problems I had remained (I think I will to delete all reference to it & re-install again from scratch). Just one other question (& again this may be obvious to you - but I am struggling to get it to function properly), which key press is it for select next view for FSUIPC as & want this as a button press on my joystick? (reason I ask is A/ShiftA - S/Shift S is assigned in EZdok). Thanks, I'll take a look tomorrow & try what you suggest. I have absolutely no joystick assignments in the FSX control menu (I deleted them as EZdok recommends you have to on some of them). I'll try too to use it with EZdok off as you say as well. Many Thanks Rick

Well I've done exactly what you suggest & it only pans up/down not right or left. Everything else works fine for the buttons/calibration etc. I have checked all settings, so I'm wondering if my fsx is corrupted since the repair. I also use EZdok & that is not functioning correctly (after a clean re-install) as it used to before.

Pete, All I was asking for was a yes/no answer. I understand you have created a fundemental & very useful addon for our hobby to continue. I am a software user, not an expert. My job involves using software all day. You are obviously a very talented guy who has developed something really (& I mean really) good. Your software is now a fundemental part of FSX. Yes, I may be a bit pre "RFM" but please, just say, yes that's right, no that's wrong. All I ask is guide me through the hat switch settings in plain step by step English & I will be on my way a happy user! Maybe there are others out there who don't share you're knowledge but simply want a question easily resolved by a simple do this, do that (like me). I have read the manual, but (for me personally) is a little daunting but all controls work apart from panning. No offence Pete, your software is essential I know, but please, just say click this, do that as far as panning is concerned. Rick PS FSUIPC is essential & I thank you for it!

To be honest,you surprise me. I paid good money for this, & I don't expect this level of patronizing customer support. Maybe you need to look at your customer support ethics. Thanks for your sympathetic support & as a believer of todays' software developers hard work, I am proud to say I have spent hundreds of pounds on software addons since the earlier days of MS Simulator & have many times, received a level of customer service one would expect when they pay for their product. Hi Pete, Sorry, I just ran it for a few seconds & as I have never used this before I am unsure what you mean by "Please always include all the initial stuff next time." It could have been from an old search result. I did notice a mention of this. I'm sorry, but being slightly confused, to assign it as an AXIS control, do I set it as "Send direct to FSUIPC Calibration" or as "Send to FS as normal axis" & which pan command do I select in the list? Hi, I have a registered version of FSUIPC & recently I had to get Microsoft involved in repairing my PC as my Windows defender was corrupted. To cut a long story short - they deleted my original user profile & created a fresh one & copied all my files over (2 days it took!). I have a lot of addons on FSX but with these recent fixes, some of my addons have been acting a little strange, so I have been removing & re-installing some of the affected files. I have re-installed FSUIPC, deleted my original .ini file, & have been setting up exactly as instructed in the forums (& from a great video from frooglesim - ) - disabling all FSX view/button controls in FSX itself. Everything is working perfectly apart from the pan views either inside or out. - They "twitch" left & right, reluctantly goes up, basically, un-useable. I read a post here from Peter about posting their log file which may display the fault, so I am pleading to the world, what is wrong with my settings. I followed the instructions to include the views in "Buttons & switches", assigning my hat switch increments in the "Select for FS control" settings as up = Pan reset = 0, Look up left =Pan view = 45, etc. etc. until back to 0 which is pan reset.
