I have had had this occur, not only with fsuipc but also with some other softwares dlls. It normally happens when FSX either crashes or doesn't close properly.
Somewhere in the forums Pete posted a solution, but I quote it below, so try this.
This was Pete Dowson solution for a similar problem with fsuipc
1) start regedit, (select run from Start menu and type 'regedit'
2) goto key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\AppCompatFlags\Layers
3) delete the key "C:\\Games\\FSX\\fsx.exe"="$~ RUNASADMIN IgnoreFreeLibrary<FSUIPC4.dll>"
4) if you would like to run FSX as an administrator you may need to activate that again as it may have been removed that in step 3
It means that free library calls are ignored (calls used to unload a DLL, known as module in FSX). This probably means that one of those calls somehow failed once and the key was added by the MS compatibility 'service' as a service to you...The error message may appear again the next time you start FSX, but just select YES to run, and all should be back to normal.
I would make a note of the above as you will no doubt get the same error again at some point.

Not sure if this is the correct forum, but I have a question re makerunways tool.
When the program is run does it only generate files for those entries in the scenery.cfg that are enabled, or does it generate for all cfg entries irrespective of whether they are enabled or not?
Thanks,
Stuart

Thanks Pete,
Unfortunately their support forum is not brilliant at the moment. I'll try some of the suggestions you have made and check a few other things.

I haven't tried on the BBA320 as I have only just got this particular aircraft.
I used to set the yoke buttons in the FSX Controls dialogue to the same functions Brakes Left/Right, but as I configure all other buttons and axis now through fsuipc, I have the yoke, Throttles and rudders disabled in the control panel. Other aircraft seem to work fine, it just seems to be the BB320 that sticks the brakes on when buttons are released.
I have the check box ticked to repeat while pressed. Is there something perhaps I could set in the box when button is released?
Stuart
-
I have configured buttons on my CH yoke for most aircraft successfully as 'Brakes Left'/'Brakes Right' in fsuipc, but when doing the same with the Blackbox A320, whenever I apply the brakes they remain on.
Could anyone advise what might cause this issue as I am at a loss?
Thanks,
Stuart

Steve,
Sorry but I won't have time to try out your key assignments until the weekend. Just a thought, have you made sure the the full stop and comma are not used, or disabled, in any other program including FSX, since I thought the comma was normally used in FSX by default for the ATC window.
Stuart
-
Thanks Steve,
Yes that does seem simpler. I guess you mean 'Key Assignments' in the ifly menu?
Will give that a try
Thanks again,
Stuart
-
Gary,
Many thanks for that, I'll give it a try.
I have never used fsuipc luas before, so have other questions.
Firstly you mention that I would need to run iflyfsuipc software. Is this the lua that you document or something else?
Also, is it possible to separate the 'On' from the 'Off' rather than single toggle lua?
Thanks again

I have been trying to assign 2 buttons on the CH Throttles Quadrant to the individual fuel cutoff switches on the 737, but can't seem to find the appropriate mapping in fsuipc, either Direct or key strokes. Does anyone know how this can be achieved in fsuipc?
Stuart

Pete,
I have similar question relating to Rudder operation with the Majestic Q400.
All axes are assigned and configured in fsuipc. The MJQ400 tiller is set in their config programme, not fsuipc, to "Aileron+Mouse", but like the poster here there is no movement of the Rudder when parked at the ramp. Also the Elevators seem to be temperamental sometimes moving sometimes not, sometimes on one side moving.
Is this lack of Rudder movement to be expected when the aircraft has a filler?
Stuart
-
Has anyone had difficulty configuring axis in the iFly737NG? I have setup the Spoilers, & Throttles, but Ailerons, Elevators, Rudders and Flaps are not recognised. I can set them up in fsuipc joystick config as Direct to fsuipc config, but when going back to FSX there is no movement in any of the axis.
I have CH yoke, peddles and Throttles.
Appreciate any help.

Pete,
Really sorry to bother you but I just hadn't seen this before?
Have you any idea what xuipc.dll is?
Any ideas - is it related to fsuipc ?This is the Appcrash report (top section) and attached is the FSUIPC.log file.
I have also copied it to the Steam Support forum.

Pete,
Not sure if at fault but since updating to fsuipc 4.939m then ....n, I seem to be getting a g3d error whenever I try to load a flight from the FreeFlight screen. I looked at the fsuipc log file, and there is no mention of it loading the g3d monitor line as there used to be in earlier versions.
Is there a way of checking that your g3d fixes are working?
Thanks
Stuart

Pete,
Further to my above post,
Just noticed in appcrash that a couple of seconds before the G3D.DLL error it reported that FSX crashed with faulting module=mcvr80.DLL. Could this initial crash cause the subsequent G3D.DLL reported crash?
Stuart

For info, after an hour flight today FSX crashed with a G3D.dll error. Unfortunately I had reloaded FSX before thin to check the fsuipc log file. However below is the summary of 'appcrash'.
Do you thin this error is likely to be fixed by Steam pending release?
Thanks

Thanks Pete.
I just wondered whether you may have come across such error before. No worries. I too am looking forward to the next release from Steam.
Meanwhile, since send the post, I have been scrolling the internet for any similar problems, and it seems it could be related to some tile errors with Playsims VFR GenX Scotland vol8, for which some fixes have been made available. I'll try downloading the fixes tomorrow before preporting to Steam.
Cheers,
Stuart

Peter,
I know that you have been looking into resolving various issues with dll crashes in FSX.
I started getting Terrain.dll and Util.dll crashes today usually when FSX is loading autogen.
I uninstalled and reinstalled FSX:SE and your latest fsuipc but it still crashes only now about 35% into terrain loading phase even with autogen set to zero.
AppCrash gives the following log.
Can you determine from the log what may be the issue. My settings by the way are pretty low.
Cheers
Stuart

No worries. I myself am on holiday between 16-21/2. I'll let you know how I get on with a different mouse.
Cheers

Pete,
I only saw your post and suggestions after I had closed down my PC (see my embedded comments), and as I said I won't be able to do more testing until Friday as my wife and I will be baby sitting my 18 month granddaughter the next two days!
I did however try assigning the fsuipc mouselook toggle to a joystick button but that didn't work either.
I shall see if I can try another mouse on Friday just in case it is the press and hold centre mouse button that has become faulty.
Thanks again for your tolerance.

It works fine here. Does it work with the mouse look enabled by assignment to the FSUIPC control to turn it on or off? If so then maybe you have disabled the centre mouse button for this facility? That's an option you would have had to set explicitly by editing the INI file ("UseMidMouseBtn=Yes").
[stuart] I have "UseMidMouseBtn=No"
Enable Axis and Event logging in FSUIPC's logging tab, temporarily run FS in Windowed mode and enable FSUIPCs console log. Then you can see the results, in terms of FS controls, of what you do. The Mouse Look facility uses "Pan View" axis controls for the view direction and "Zoom In/Zoom Out" for the zooming.
[stuart] I'm not able to check out logging now until Friday. FYI I do have my hat switch assigned to "Pan View" for occasional use when both hands needed on the yoke.
Without any of the mouse options enabled on the Miscellaneous tab FSUIPC doesn't interfere with the mouse at all. Sounds like your FS is rather screwed up!
Either use FSX or FSUIPC not both. If you disable controllers in FSX, which you MUST if you assign in FSUIPC, then the FSX mouse look facility is also disabled.
[stuart] I have got the Mouse Look in FSX working having reset defaults, however if I then disable controllers, mouse look in fsuipc doesn't work.
No where. That isn't an option. You simply hold it down for 'on', release it for 'off', or else assign a button or keypress to the mouselook toggle, on or off controls, as you wish. If you need to use the centre mouse button for other things you need to do such assignments and set the UseMidMoseBtn=No parameter in the INI file (before loading FS).
[stuart] I assigned a joystick button to mouselook toggle but when activated it still didn't work. Having then [cleared] it the option no longer exists in the drop down!
Pete
I have managed to assign a joystick button to activate the FSX cross-hair mouse look, so at least now have a workable option, but I would prefer to get to the bottom of the fsuipc mouse look not working as that is my preference.

Pete,
Still having problems I'm afraid.
I just have mouse look ticked in the misc tab of fsuipc, but pressing the centre mouse button and moving the wheel or mouse to zoom/pan has no effect.
Also, with mouse look unticked, the mouse does not revert to its FSX movement either.
What are the settings in FSX that effect use of the mouse for fsx zooming/ panning facility?
I'm beginning to wonder if my mouse has become faulty, although with 'mousemove' ticked the wheel does work for changing view point forward/backwards and sideways?
Another question, if I can get mouselook working, where does one assign the centre button as the 'mouselook toggel on/off'?
Cheers

OK thanks.
I think I'll just set "mouse look" to on and see how that works.

I think therefore from the above that I actually want 'mouse look' then for #1 to zoom and pan, rather than 'move' around. Can 'mouse look' be used in conjunction with using the mouse wheel for the panel when not pressed?
BTW Is it possible to reload changes made in the INI file without having to close and restart FSX?

Pete, sorry for being a pain, as I obviously had a similar problem in May last year when I raised this post initially, since when I have been using the mouse wheel when pressed for zooming in/out and panning left/right, and when not pressed for operating panel knobs.
However, I must have changed something accidentally and I have got in a muddle again with mouse settings in fsuipc/fsx controls to achieve various options using the mouse, as the above is no longer working.
Could you please advise/confirm which fsuipc.INI settings &/or assignments in fsuipc and/or fsx that I should set to achieve the following:
1: Hold mouse wheel down to zoom forward & back and pan side to side.
2: Use mouse wheel (without pressing down) to change instrument buttons in the panel.
I am not worried about using the sideward motion of the wheel to move left/right, but if there is a way to achieve this by setting 'mouse move toggle' button then I might investigate too, but the two functions above are more critical for me.
Again apologies for asking similar question again

Pete,
A chance that this fsuipc v5 64bit will work with DTGs Flight Sim World? Alternatively will you consider an alternative version?
