  1. Finally found the entry. When I found "Wow6432Node" at the "SOFTWARE" section, I noticed some directories that are familiar. This time, I went to "Microsoft" section and found "Microsoft Games", where "Flight Simulator - Steam Edition" is. I found SetupPath. The directories do in fact, show "D:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\" rather than "D:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\". EDIT: FSUIPC successfully installed into FSX Steam Edition. This is the log: Installer for FSUIPC4.DLL version 4.938a Looking in registry for FSX install path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator\10.0 Parameter"SetupPath" ... >>> OK! 2. I posted my problem there: http://steamcommunity.com/app/314160/discussions/0/626329820999311992/
  3. Is it the discussion area? If it is, I go to Technical Support? About the regestries, the furthest I got to is HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\. I couldn't find "Microsoft Games" anywhere. When I looked at it in alphabetical order, I only saw "Microsoft Antimalware Setup" and "Microsoft Reference", nothing in between. I am puzzles why it wasn't showing. I decided to look at "Lockheed Martin" at the same "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\" and strangely, I couldn't find it as well. I am aware they exist since the installer found it but regedit couldn't see them.
  4. I will report it to the Steam FSX forum (if I know where it is). BTW, I don't have a migration program (I don't know any). I don't know about deleting the registry as I couldn't find the registry in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. Is there a way I can see it?

I am still wondering how and why Microsoft Games isn't showing at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE when there are signs they exist there.
  6. I did look at HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE but I couldn't find "Microsoft Games" at the "Microsoft" (this is where FSX and FSX-SE should be at but only HKEY_CURRENT_USER has both).
  7. According to the AppPath of HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator - Steam Edition\10.0, it says D:\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX\. The FSX Gold Edition is D:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\.

  9. Thank you. By the way, I almost forgot about the installer for FSX Steam Edition. I got an error saying "Your FSX-SE installation is not suitable for this version of FSUIPC. You may need to install an update from Microsoft." However, it says that it installed into FSX-SE okay afterwards when in reality, it isn't. I also noticed from the installer this text: INSTALLATION FOR FSX-SE: SetupPath="D:\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\" Checking version of the FSX-SE EXE: ... Version 10.0.61637.0 (Need at least 10.0.62607.0) According to this, the installer thought FSX-SE is the FSX directory despite it wasn't.
  10. I managed to successfully install 4.937 on Prepar3D v2.4. When I looked at the installer information for 4.938, it only shows Prepar3D directories as opposed to Prepar3D v2 directories. It is missing this: Looking in registry for Prepar3D v2 install path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2 Parameter"SetupPath"
  11. About the FSUIPC Module, I couldn't install it to Prepar3D v2.4. It only found FSX and FSX Steam Edition.
