  1. Hi The default path for Vpilot is C:\Users\(your user-name)\AppData\Local\VPilot\VPilot.exe it does not place files directly into the "Local folder" - it created the sub folder -VPilot Ezio, that would explain why your log shows - error 2 file not found
  2. My sin setup is currently win 10 and FSX steam running on I7 4790k cpu 16 gigs ram 500Gb SSD for Win10 abd separate SSD for FSX. I have never experienced this "freezing" on autosave To test it further, in FSUIPC I set autosave to 20 saves every 60 secs plus -save on ground - plus save as named flight - 60 secs Then ran FSX ORBX/global/ pago pago scenery and every scenery slider on max for 15-20 mins using default and payware aircraft. I even loaded several autosaved flights and I can confirm I had NONE of these reported freezes - fps and flight smoothness were unchanged (no stutters) throughout the flight Are you limited on RAM installed or have setup your system in a way that is causing the issue. You could check Superfetch and prefetch is ON - check this; press ctrl+alt+del keys and open task manager click on the services tab scroll down and look for the service called SysMain description Superfetch status should be - Running next type regedit in the search box on task bar and at top select regedit run command navigate the folder structure to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management\PrefetchParameters in the right pane in an entry called EnablePrefetcher the data column should show 0x0000003(3) the value =3 is correct Other than that I have a power plan set for high performance and a system managed pagefile set on c:\drive regards
  3. oops just what I was about to suggest .... the latest version is 4.939u, according to the official website http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html Why not try the later version then see if the problem continues, also run the FSUIPC installer using - run as administrator -
  4. Kirby You are using obsolete software not suitable for Prepar3d v2 - V2 does not use the FLT file system - try using the latest version - simlauncherX - here is the link http://www.simflight.com/2014/10/14/simlauncherx-freeware-download/ it's also free or if you like it - donationware
  5. I think the answer may be a lot simpler when you re-installed FSX - did you run it once before installing FSUIPC - this creates the fsx.cfg file afterwards - you should then have re-insalled FSUIPC - in your case you don't need a re-install - just run FSx and say yes to have the FSUIPC dll trusted.
  6. I have installed the latest p3d hotfix then the latest fsuipc version. the fsuipc installer did grumble about the version of p3d but still installed in fsx and p3d sucessfully and having run p3d for a while there are no problems to report so far Kev
  7. hi I am new to this forum but a Spad user, it's an unusual problem. Dougal you are using a very old version of FSUIPC. 4.6 install the latest version 4.9. Also the saitek drivers per device. Did you uninstall/re-install Spad into the new location. With FSX running do the devices appear on separate tabs within the spad interface screen, Spad should also show if FSUIPC is connected JM
  8. When I installed ASN on my network pc I got a request by the software to install ASN connect using the exe file in the ASN install folder The DLL entry is added and checked for by the main ASN program on the network PC when ASN starts up there was never any requirement add Dll.xml entry manually The ASN connect sub program is run on the FSX pc as it added the Asn folder to the FSX install folder the key to a correct install is setting the correct folder sharing before installing ASN I have no doubt this is explained in the manual
