Thanks for the advise. I have gotten the install correct now. However, I am not able to assoicate the previously created Profiles with the new install. I have used the conversion flag UseProfiles=Files, but, when I check the ini and log after running the sim the log indicates no profiles were created and there are no profiles in the ini. What am I missing?

I installed v6.1.4 for p3dv5.2. When I run p3d fsuipc doesnt show my orevious profiles, no does it bring in the previous control assignments. When I look in the fsuipc cfg ini the p3d version is the old one 5.1.... Vs the one I have installed V5.2.. And, the vr hmd listed is my old one Rift vs my current one Reverb. How do I get fsuipc to update the ini info? I have install and uninstalled, reintalled a couple times wth no change in the ini.

I have tried to download beta v7.2.0, but, the link doesn't work for me. Is there another link/place I can get the download?

Oh. So, this is like it was several versions ago? I'll look there.
Thanks,
Danny

I am using the current version of FSUIPC5 (j version) with P3dV4 with the HF. When I create profile for an aircraft I expect to see it in the "Profile" folder within Modules. However, it is not there. I believe this has been happening across all the FSUIPC5 versions, at least for me. Has something changed as to where the profiles are stored or have I gotten the configuration missed up? Everything works great, I just can't find the aircraft profiles. By the way, the profiles that I had created with FSUIPC4 are present in the FSUIPC5 modules/profiles folder.
Thanks

Long time user of FSUIPC paid version. No problem purchasing Version 5. Thank you very much for supporting the flight sim community as the software improves.

Pete:
If LM P3dV4 is 64 bit will FSUIPC be able to be configured to work? I would really like to continue having its capabilities.

Danny

Oh well. Thanks anyway Pete. Parking into the winds doesn't change the behavior.

Pete:
I have looked at the friction tables contained in the Lua plug-ins and saw no references to skids, only wheels. I do use the dynamic friction plug-in, but, it doesn't seem to impact the helicopters in question.

Is it possible to control the ground friction associated with helicopter skids using FSUIPC? I have a couple helicopters that will slowly spin while sitting on the ground. If I apply some collective the spinning can be neutralized. This only happens on some of my helo models. I have looked through the air files and the aircraft.cfg files for a parameter that might address the ground friction/adhesion with no success.

Thanks for the reply. I reinstalled 4.955c, then copied the 4.956 dll into the modules folder, started the sim and, once again, the sim failed to start. The windows error log again indicated the FSUIPC.dll as the fault module. I checked the installed log and it indicated a correct install. I checked the FSUIPC.log file and this time it did not contain the " Failed, insufficient support: 00000000 " comment.
I have restarted the computer and tried to start the sim again. This time it worked as normal. I shut the sim down and restarted it, and, it worked fine.
Thanks for your help.

Danny

I am having an issue with 4.956 and P3dV3.4. I have installed the 4.956 dll into the module folder and have copied over and renamed the simconnectP3D3.dll file from the newest P3D SDK. On the first start of the sim after doing these activities the sim works as normal. After shut down and restart of the sim, the sim throws an error and fails to start. When I check the windows error log it indicates the fault module as the FSUIPC.dll. When I check the FSUIPC.log I get the following:
31 ----------------------------------
31 Trying I:\P3DV3\Modules\SimConnectP3D3.dll
31 Found it: trying to connect
31 Failed, insufficient support: 00000000
63 Trying to connect to SimConnect Acc/SP2 Oct07 ...
63 FS UNC path = "\\DANNY-PC\P3DV3\"
328 Finished: 0 Profile files createdFull log attached.
If I delete both the simconnectp3d3.dll and the FSUIPC.dll files and reinstall them the sim will start again, once. And, again, on the second attempt to start will fail with the same indication in the log.
Any ideas?

Danny

I am using A2A 182 with Windows 10, P3DV3, and FSUIPC 4.946 version with no issues. Might want to check your A2A install/reinstall.

Are you guys using 4.495a version? I am and it is working with no issues in P3DV3. My OS is Windows 10.

Pete:
I am using a Warthog Hosta Flight stick with P3dV2.5. I have started to experience a partial loss of cyclic function (either pitch or aileron) randomly. When I start the sim the cyclic will function normally. After a period of time flying, the cyclic will lose half of the travel for pitch or aileron. Oddly, only half of the movement will be lost. To recover full function I have to restart the sim. I have tried reassigning the axis, recalibrating, reloading the aircraft, etc., with no luck. I started to experience this after updating to version m, and, it has continued with version n.
When I go to the axis assignment page and rescan the axis, fsuipc shows full function +&-16838 for the cyclic. Yet when I go into the calibration section I still only have half of the function. Only after restarting the sim can I regain full function.
I have tried to attached a copy of the log, but, the system will not allow me to do so.
Any suggestions as to how I might resolve this would be appreciated.
Regards,
Danny
V6.1.4 install not picking up current info
in FSUIPC Support Pete Dowson Modules
Posted
Sorry for the confusion. In the previous version I had created several aircraft specific profiles and stored them in a folder named "Profiles". This folder was located in the previous V6 installation folder. The profiles did work with the previous V6 version. I installed V6.1.4 today, into the previous version's folder and everything is working, except that the profiles are not being pickup/recognized by the new V6 version. I copied one contents of one of the profiles into the new V6 version ini file and adjusted the section titles to specifically reference the aircraft. After doing this copy and paste activity I was able to fly that one aircraft. However, none of the other profiles are being recognized by the new V6 version. I don't have the old ini, but, I have attached copies of my current ini and log.
