  1. Okay, I'll bite.

    I run several Teamspeak3 servers (non-profit), for different gaming communities, so if there is an interest, I can spawn a new instance as I still have some licenses free. Before I do that there is a few things I will make clear.

    • I will not charge for the use of it in any way
    • It will be for Tower (all version), and Tracon ... basically software we discuss here.
    • It will run 24/7, but downtime will occur (Maintenance, server / firewall crash etc. It is free, I will fix it when I have time.)
    • Channels will be predefined and Static (can be expanded if required)
    • I will not provide support for how to use Teamspeak (there are plenty of guides out there).
    • I will give some of the regulars "old timers" on this forum Admin access if they ask for it.
    • The teamspeak will be protected by a password (which can be found in this forum).
    • The server will be located in Denmark.

    What I'm trying to say is that it is "provided as is", no guarantees for uptime or if it goes down how fast it will be back up. It's running from my home ESX lab and contrary to popular belief I do have a life ;-)

    Please indicate here if there is interest for it

    I'm having the same issue when I tested TIST. I tried to move ADIRS (Log line 485), and it disappeared. The same is true if I run the game as administrator (which I prefer not to do). I am able to get ADIRS back if I click on the A in the menu, then it's "inside" the game window again.

     

    • OS: Windows 10 Enterprise (Build 14393)
    • Speech: English (United Stats) - Microsoft David Desktop
    • Graphic card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970
    • Graphic Driver version: 21.21.13.7653 (dated: 12/29/2016)
    • Resolution: 1920 x 1080
    • DX version: 12 (Games seems to be using DX11)
    • Number of monitors: 3
    • No addons installed for the test
       

    Have anyone found a resolution to the issue?

    Could you please add my option 2 to the list as well. It is often really hard for me to make out an aircraft number or the assigned taxiway when there is white stuff behind the windows (I have to use F1 and look in a different direction to be able to see it, and F1 is going away in SP1).

    I'm not sure this is related, but I experienced some thing similar in Tower2011, where it would take ages for it to load an airfield, and every time I tried to move an aircraft's label or move a window there was a huge lag, even when the game needed to calculate a taxi path, it took a long time before it completed the calculations and started to move the plane.

    I opened the Tower!2011\Airfields\ folder and renamed the [Airportname]_shadow.raw to some thing else, and then tried to load the game again, and the airport loaded very fast, and there were no more lag. 

    That is of cause a work around (if it works for you as well), but I have never looked further into that ... perhaps some one else has?

  5. Hi Ivanjay,

    Personally I did not see that as an issue, however unless it is handled by adding another call "Ready for pushback" or some thing similar, you could risk suddenly blocking a taxiway with a plane that has not been given taxi instructions (because you did not issue the cleared for pushback instrauction), and it would just be sitting there until you notice that several other planes has stacked up behind it ;-)

    I like that no plane moves unless I have permitted it (as it is in a real airport), so I think an extra call would be required for realism as well.

  6. So here is the deal ...

    Tower!2011 comes with "imaginary airlines", and several airports.
    Real Traffic converts the imaginary airline call signs to real airline call signs, this will work on all installed Airports including those which comes with Tower!2011
    Real Color is specific to an airport and will only work with that single airport (You should only install real-color for airports you have installed).

    So to sum it up, you should not have any issues after installing real traffic with Tower!2011 without any other addons.

    I can't speak for the airport EDDF, but I have other airports installed, and no issues using real traffic with them, and for me it does make a difference having Amarican2845 report in instead of Magic2845 does increase the immersion for me, and it works on all the airports (those with the game, and the extra I purchased).

    I have not purchased real colors as I usually don't zoom in that much when playing Tower!2011, for it to make a difference.

  8. I could not have said it better myself.

    Even if it has been a bit of a bumpy "lift off", Vic and the team has been really responsive to our feedback and bug reports, and I must admit having been a beta tester on other games, the amount of attention to our feedback is way better than the beta testers got in some of the games I was beta testing.

    ps. Vic ... you should really try to sleep a some point, I hear it does wonders ;-)

  9. Hi Narformat

    I know it's frustrating not getting answers right away, and perhaps not in depth answers. Feelthere has just released Tower!3D, and Vic and the developers are really busy taking feedback on bugs etc for that game. I know this is not an excuse, but it is an explanation.

    My suggestion is (I know you have done this, but please read until the end):

    1) Uninstall Tower2011 and all addons
    2) Check the programs folder that there are no folders or files left from Tower2011
    3) Install only Tower2011, test if the game works. If it does not work, clearly state here, that it is Tower2011 with no addons, that won't start.
    4) If the game starts and every thing works fine, then install one Airport addon (not real traffic or real color)
    5) Test again, and continue with this approach installing one thing at a time until it stops working.

    If the issue is after installing real color or real traffic then it is Nyerges Design that needs to do the support ... I don't know any support email but here is a facebook link, I'm sure you can get further information there https://www.facebook.com/nyergesdesign-189909894401409/

    If the issue happens right after a fresh install, with no addons, please state it clearly here, and I'm sure Vic or some one else here will help you.

    I'm not sure if this is part of the bug where planes crosses active runways without stopping. In my case I explicit gave the hold short of runway 24L to TAB129, and it still decided to cross it without clearance.

    I did issue the command while it was still running down the runway while landing, but should that make a difference?

    Sorry to pester you with this, but having the option to enable it (leave the default disabled), would imho not intrude for those who would not want it.

    The reason for my request is that once I finish a session, I always check my points to see how I did and "ya" I did okay this time, I'm improving (or the opposite of cause) ;-)

  12. Morning,

    I was playing yesterday evening, and two aircraft on approach got to close to each other, unfortunately I did not notice the alerts until I had gotten -5000 points (10 alerts).

    Would it be possible to make the alerts more "intrusive" like in Tower!2011, where the game pauses and the alert comes in the middle of the screen and I have to acknowledge it before the game continues?
