  1. Hi Peter, Every few months I decide to give FSX a new try so here I am after updating SP1 and your FSUIPC updates. My FLight Link throttle quad has always been reversed in polarity - I have no idea why, but I've lived with it and it has never been a problem. I am trying to set the idle and reverse settings on it in FSUIPC but it won't "take" because the maximum setting is a negative and at idle or reverse, the "in" would be positive. I've tried using the "reverse" option through FSUIPC and through FS axis control but with no success. I've always managed to get this to work in the past so I must be missing something or the new functions are confusing me. Any suggestions? I'm off to Oshkosh for the airshow but look forward to any help you can provide. Thanks! David Lee
  2. Hi Peter, Thanks for getting these updates out so quickly! I am one of many, I suspect, who installed FSX but have kept FS9 on my system and will use both for a period of time. FSX is on a new harddrive all by itself. FS9 works great with FSUIPC and WideFS driving my Project Magenta software on other PCs. If I purchase and install FSUIPC will I have the option of specifically installing it in FSX so it will not impact my FS9/FSUIPC/WideServer installations? What about on the client end? Thanks David
  3. Despite the excellent directions on the matter, I still can't get my yoke button to send either a keypress or a rw PTT control to SB3. It seems others have had this problem too but then I never see more on the issue so have to assume they have solved the problem. Can anyone explain how they have done this? Thanks David
  4. Thanks Peter. I was referring to the PM controls within FSUIPC. I am working with Enrico to see what can be done. David
  5. Peter, That did it! Apparently the software that came with my last unit was several versions old. I downloaded the latest software and now it works fine. I am finding, though, that the offsets for the Project Magenta RJ glass cockpit do not line up with the real controls (specifically, the range increase and decrease for the ND don't work and the absolute ranges - "50nm", etc are jumbled). I think that is more likely a problem at Enrico's end though. Thanks David
  6. Peter, Yes, I have the GoFlight software installed. In fact, the radios and MCP work fine directly with the system. Thanks for any advice you might have! David
  7. Peter, I just recently set up a new computer for FS9. Nothing unusual, just a lot faster. I've installed the latest versions of FSUIPC and WideFS and it works as it always has, except FSUIPC doesn't seem to recognize any of my Goflight buttons and knobs anymore. What might I have forgotten? I don't see any other reference to this here so it sounds like my very own problem. Thanks! David
  8. Good morning Pete, Boy, I get faster replies from you than I do from my kids and they are in the next room! ;-) Nothing has changed other than updating PM software, WideFS, and FSUIPC when they are available. I run the two modules because one is needed to run the GF RP48 (GFPM Remote) and the other to run the GF-MCP. Neither will do both. The GFRemote is more critical because I could always run the GF48 on the main computer complements of FSUIPC but I don't think the MCP will work that way. Thanks for giving this some thought! David
  9. Hi Peter, Well, I have tracked down the source of my stutters. I did clean out some video driver problems but what seems to be the culprit is GFRemote (I use a GFMCP). This has worked fine in the past but now creates stutters of 1-3 seconds at 8-10 second intervals. I looked at the WideFS client log and have the following. Incidentally, I do have the error capture set up like you've suggested but continue to get these messages. I don't know if any recent changes in the MCP have created this or what. Thanks for any advice you might have! 10. peter, I'm getting bad stutters lately with PM software using WideFS. Thanks David
  11. Peter, Many thanks for the timely and thorough reply! It will take me a little time to disect what you are saying as I've never done this before. I also have many many USB devices so I have to be careful not to create a conflict I guess. Also, should I delete all of my GoFlight assignments in the GFConfig program? They seem to interfere with the FSUIPC ones. Thanks again David
  12. Hi Peter, I am just now learning the shear joy of programming my GoFlight units to operate Project Magenta funcions on a second computer. I notice there is the ability to turn on or off the AT and FD but no way to toggle them on and off. I am fairly limited in the number of buttons I have available. Is there anyway I can do this using the parameter or editing the ini file? Thanks! David Lee
