  1. Hi everybody out there, I bought FSUIPC a long time ago... ...and I was/am still so happy that there is such a perfekt and functional software :) Now I bouhgt Aerosofts Airbus A318/319/320/321 because I am looking forward to build a small cockpit-simulator with that Software. So know my question: Is it possible to export variables like the AP ALT, AP HDG or the Battery-levl out of the Airbus via FSUIPC? (without LUA,...) And show this figures via such a device: (or simply to read them with another pogramm them?) http://simple-solutions.de/shop/product_info.php?language=en&products_id=62 with this software: wiki.simple-solutions.de/de/products/Arcaze/Arcaze-USB/Arcaze-FSUIPC-Connector I hope you can help - I would be very glade if you could send me a short answer. Thank you in advance, FSlikerX
  2. MOVED FROM "USER CONTRIBUTIONS" SUBFORUM so it might attract answers ... Because I am trying to understand the scenary I did: Is something wrong in this diagram?
  3. Hi, I recently downloaded the BlackBox widebody prologue, and while setting up the load manager for the it asked for FSUIPC to install, which it did. I then made the decision to go and buy the full license for it. I reinstall FSUIPC4 off of the website. After which, when I went to turn on FSX:SE it asked me to verify to run the FSUIPC4_loader.DLL and as soon as I press "run" FSX just closes on the intro screen and my EZDOK gives the message: "FSX Process not found. FSX_Handles: 0" Usually when I got this error, reinstalling FSUPIC (Free version) just did the trick, but reinstalling doesn't seem to do it this time. Any help would be great, Thank you much!
  4. Hello everyone I have one very quick question about this fancy FSUIPC. Does the g3d.dll bug fix work with the unregistered version of the product? I have looked at the event logs of my crashes and it seems to line up with the patch for the g3d.dll file.
  5. Hello all! A newcomer to the forum here, and a complete beginner to FSUIPC, SPAD, Lua and all that jazz. My dilemma is that I do not know how to control and input multiple control axes, a Saitek Pro Flight Yoke and X52 joystick at the same time. At my ATC (Air Cadets) squadron, we have a pretty comprehensive setup, with Saitek panels, pedals, three screens and a projector. I'm in charge of the renovation project and a particular problem was the complications of having the two control inputs working at the same time; we had to reset FSX every time we wanted to swap. This is a problem and as far as I'm aware, is impossible in FSX's default binding settings. Using SPAD for the multitude of panels we have "shouldn't" be a problem (we'll see!) but I am clueless about setting up multiple axes to work simultaneously (even a method where there is a "sidestick priority-esque" system to use a button to switch between control methods is fine). Any insight is much appreciated and thanks to anyone in advance, Liam
  6. 7. Hi all. I haev just recently purchased a Saitek Throttle Quadrant to go with the one I already own that came with my yoke however I am having problems with setting it up in FSUIPC. When I go into the 'Axis Assignment' page in FSUIPC, click 'Rescan' and move any of the 3 axis' on my NEW throttle they aren't picked up! When I move my already owned throttle's axis' they are picked up...? I hope to hear from someone soon! Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Robbie
  8. Hi, I'm currently developing an application with Pete Dowson's DLL. I just upgraded to Client 3.0 beta, which works for now as expected. sidenote - I upgraded because I needed the WeatherServices, however I'm getting errors on that: 'METAR for xxxx is not available now'. - But that is not the issue for this topic :) My issue is, that I'm trying to make use of the FsLatLonQuadrilateral interface, and just like the UserGuide.pdf, I am creating 4 FsLatLonPoints, but there is the issue: I'm doing this on another thread (backgroundworker c#) and it takes about 30 seconds (25 seconds to be exact) to create them, after which the backgroundworker kind of crashes, without error, just exitcode 259. I believe this is because it is trying to access the main thread or something to process the FsLatLonPoints? Like it is really 'creating' points in fsx? In the main thread they just work fine. The reason I use it on a background worker is because it does some processes which require information from an database and work with that data... Basically I have a list of points and I want to check if they are within a distance of the airplane. Suggestions? Can I find the source code on this somewhere?
  9. Hi. I have been using FSUIPC for about a month now and have been very pleased with it. Although I have recently ran into a problem. I now have no control over my rudder and brake axis. I use saitek rudder pedals and therefore have a rudder and brake axis in the one controller. I tried to assign the rudder and brake axis through the Axis Assignment section of FSUIPC but every time I move either the rudder or brakes it is not picked up inside FSUIPC. I tried looking at saiteks own control panel for the pedals and everything seemed fine their, all axis working and moving in the calibration. I also tried assigning it in FSX's own controller page, it also worked their. I do not want to have it assigned in the FSX control settings though as I am on Windows 8 and have my controllers set up in their makes a lot of problems such as the controller just going off, that is one of the main reasons for me purchasing FSUIPC. Any help is much appreciated as this is really annoying me and stopping me from flying at the moment. Thanks, Robbie
  10. Hi, recently I have bought FSUIPC and really enjoyed it with the massive variety of things to do! Up until recently where I have run into a problem with assigning the throttle. For some reason the throttle axis reset itself so I tried to go into FSUIPC and reassign it, but that didn't work. When I go into the Axis Assignment tab, then move the axis on my throttle that I want to use for the throttle, I have a problem. When my throttle lever is at 0% or idle it shows -16384 and when it as at 100% is shows 16384. But anything in between 0% and 100% doesn't seem to work. So from 0% all the way up to 50% it only shows -16384 and from 50% up to 100% it shows 16384. So it is like it has only two power settings, full power and no power at all. I am still quite new to FSUIPC so don't exactly understand everything yet. Any help would be much appreciated as right now I basically cannot fly as these throttle settings just aren't possible to fly with. Just to point out it isn't only with one of the three axis' on my throttle, it happens to all of them. Any help appreciated, thanks. Robbie
  11. Hi, I loaded FSUIPC latest version 4.938d for testing the FSFlyingSchool 2015 Demo. My Sim was working very well with FTX Global, Vector, OpenLC Europe and FS Global Ultimate. When I load a flight at daytime all is fine. But: When I load a flight at nighttime P3D says: FATAL ERROR and crashes to desktop. Removing the modules folder or just removing the FSUIPC_Loader.dll helps to prevent CTD --> it's an issue of FSUIPC. Windows event log doesn't help as there is no helpful information listed... Anyone who can please help me? A lot of Add Ons will use FSUIPC and I need also to fly @ night. Thanks a lot in advance. Denny

  13. Hi there! I'm working at the moment on a little tool which positions (or should) your plane 4nm away from the runway. I already got it working setting the altitude and speed, but when it comes to longitude and latitude i have a problem. As said i want to position the aircracft 4 nautical miles away from the runway. I thought it should work with picking the runway coordinates and adding values to the latitude and longitude (Offsets 0560, 0568). I was able to calculate with the law of sines the the values i have to add. But those values are in nautical miles (because I used the 4nm as my hypotenuse for my calculation)... so how do I convert them into FS Values? Thanks in advance Philipp
  14. Question: How to get fsuipc to write its data as described below? Line1: To enable Active Sky Next integration, you will need to make sure that FSUIPC writes its radar data in a file called 'radar.bin' in the ProSim737.exe folder. ? Cheers Darryl
  15. Good evening Pete, I have just had to re-load Windows 7, and thus ALL my FSX Program, add-on aircraft and add-on scenery. Don't feel sorry for me - it was all my fault! However (there had to be a 'however'!) on flying the FSX Beech Baron I thought the pitch response was mighty sensitive, one might say fierce. I tried altering the response slope via the FSUIPC calibration page and it did not seem to make much difference. I then 'flew' the Carenado Beech Baron BE58, and lo and behold I had the same problem. On accessing the pitch calibration page I noticed an anomaly. When moving the yoke forwards the response varied according to the slope set, and reached the maximum set number of about 16,400 at full yoke movement. However, when pulling the yoke backwards the response was far more rapid, and reached the similar maximum set number of about 16,400 after only one third of the yoke movement from neutral to maximum. This reflected exactly what the pitch response was when 'flying' the simulated aircraft. I suspect this means there is a problem with the sensors inside my Saitek Pro yoke, but I would be grateful if you could give your opinion. If indeed this is the problem, do you know if there some way I could fix it by opening up the yoke black box and cleaning contacts/pitch pots or whtever may be causing the problem? :(
  16. A question for Pete. My brother in law and I do full size simulators as a hobby [not paid!!]. The latest one that we are doing is the Navy Sea Harrier FRS2. This was the Harrier Simulator that lived in Yeovilton and we have just about finished it, without using any of the Military spec systems that came with it. Our problem is this. We have a switch that activates the Map view which works just fine. The only problem is how to send the "OK" command by a switch so that the window can be closed without using a mouse in the cockpit? I figure that this will have to be another work around, but any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance, Charlie. This is our Comet project: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nuOpFjxmP4c
  17. Hello Pete I am a fully registered user of FSUIPC. I am slowly (very slowly as it turns out) building a home simulator bit by bit based upon a main windows 7 machine (other PC's will be used for instrumentation). I currently have loaded FSX and PMDG 737 but I am considering changing to P3D and iFly 737 - not sure at the moment but I do get a lot of crashes with FSX/PMDG. I have several issues at present, I wonder if you might be able to assist: 1. I have purchased an EFIS from Cockpitsimparts. It looks good but I am having some difficulty in using offsets with the EFIS. When I switch to FSUIPC in FSX, the 'joystic' button is recognised but when I attempt to assign the buttons to the FS in the functions list, there are not sufficient options for all of the EFIS functions. For example, display range is simply refered to as INC and DEC. I cannot see how to use the FSUIPC to program specific ranges (5,10,20,40,80,160,320,640). Also the VOR 1 and VOR 2 switches do not have corresponding exact commands in the FS command list. Other buttons are similar although all of the more simpler push button switches work fine. 2. I have read up a bit on offsets and although I am a bit confused, I think that with some work I will be able to get this system working but is there anything produced that can take a beginner from start to advanced with regard to programming FSUIPC offsets and the like? 3. Is there a list of the FSX/FSUIPC offsets produced anywhere? 4. I have managed find a reference to FSUIPC SDK. What is this and can this help me? 5. Finally, I have been looking into how I can reproduce instrumentation on other PC's using WideFS and Sim Connect. I have managed to do this using Panel Builder software which is functional but not really authentic with the 737. I have been considering Project Magenta (seems a bit costly) but I have just come across the Aerosystem 737 software. This seems to be ok but it needs to have the FSX generic 737 loaded. As I wont be using the generic on screen panels, this is not a huge problem but I am wondering if I am limiting my options regarding using FSUIPC on a more basic aircraft. Shouldnt make that much difference I would have thought but I just wanted to ask your opinion before I go ahead and register this Aerosystem737 software. 6. Keeping my costs down a bit, I have just purchased a printed verion of the overhead panel. I intend to put a whole pile of switches etc into this panel and then use it eventually to interface with FSUIPC. Again a list of all commands and their offsets would be useful for when I finish this project. Thanks in anticipation Peter Kind regards Alan H
  18. Hello, I recently downloaded the latest version (4.936) of FSUIPC4. Problem, big problem: Norton Internet Security refuses to have it installed: it represents a HIGH threat due to the presence of a "WS" something hinden file in it. I simply cannot escape the Norton refusal due to a "high" threat. What is this ???? I payed for that and I do want my money useful for me. Understood? Do something! Regards, Philippe Urban

  20. Hi Pete and all the others who can help! I wanted to make a small Motion Platform for my Desk... and I wanted to know if its possible to get the movement data ,such like pitch, roll, acceleration and so, out of FSUIPC? Are they saved in special Offsets? Hope you're understanding what i'm asking for ;) Thanks Philipp
  21. Hello , I'm trying to make a weather injector for fsx , where the user inputs for , for example, the surface wind and the program injects that into the simulator. I am very unsure about how this is done, Looking at the FSUIPC for programmers pdf I found the offsets list , after successfully getting the airspeed from the simulator from an offset i went to Changing the surface temperature , as this is one of the options available in my program. I found the offset 0EC0. int token = -1; int dwResult = -1; fsuipc.FSUIPC_Write(0x0EC0, 10, ref token, ref dwResult); This is an extract from my inject function. Using the included example project I was able to produce this. My questions are , what is int token used for ? All other variables in the example project where commented apart from token however I couldn't figure out what token was used for. In addition to this regarding the weather aspect of the offset list , how do I tell whether I am getting or setting a value. Is this surface temperature being set globally or for the nearest weather station? Is there an easier way to search for the offsets I need ? I also noticed it would be 10*256 as the actual temp in the simulator , is this correct? Many thanks, Arun
  22. I have a newbie question. After researching a way to interface custom applications with a flight simulator, I found the FSUIPC/FSX combination showing up the most. Here's what I am trying to do: I work for a major avionics developer, and in the process of developing a hand-held device (like an EFB), and would like to test it in a simulated environment. I understand FSUIPC allow me to access many parameters of FSX using GPSout, and also will push messages to FSX. But is it possible to use FSUIPC to connect to such a device either over a USB cable or wireless network (on the same domain, not workgroup)? By connect I mean, can I intercept the message traffic and use those updates in my own application using a TCP/IP socket class? I assume I must intercept the packets being broadcast by FSUIPC and WideFS, but haven't found any tutorials or examples of anyone reading the message traffic and interrogating it on any protocol. Also, I have purchased FSX, FSUIPC4 with WideFS and have them running, but after playing with it and reading all of the documentation haven't found a description of my issue. Thanks in advance for any help. Regards, Tom
  23. Sorry if this has been mentioned already, but I couldn't the answer in and I didn't see it in the manual ... and I'm very new to FSUIPC. Is it possible to assign one command to two buttons -- pressed simultaneously -- on a joystick? Basically, I'd like to reassign the trigger button (which it seems is often used for brakes) as a kind of Shift or Control key for other buttons on the joystick. The idea is to be able to perform actions by simply just pressing the trigger and then another button with one hand and thus not have to use my other to press a separate key on the keyboard, which something I know how to do already. Hope that makes sense. Thanks!
  24. Hi Pete, first of all I really like FSUIPC because of all of its nice features. Also it made the joystick disconnect problem on my Windows 8.1 PC disappear. But when I assign the POV of my Saitek yoke to the pan view axis, the view will stutter most of the time. This problem appears although I get good fps (24-30). Also my elevators and my ailerons as well as the throttles and so on stutter. It seems like if FSUIPC is sending data not constantly to FSX. I cannot assign the hat switch of my yoke to FSX because then my joystick will disconnect again. I really hope you´ve got an idea on how to fix that problem.
  25. Hello , I have been learning java and have tried to use the FSUIPC java api to get information and send information to fsx. This has worked fine however I do not know to send messages to fsx. In the example provided with the download prints information on the simulator and aircraft and also sends a message to fsx saying ,"Hello world". I have looked hard through the example code and searching the web but couldn't find out. Many thanks, Arun
