  1. So I downloaded FSUIPC Version 3.999z8 and It ran, it did its thing and then asked me to either delete registration, check existing or make a new registration. There was no option to install with out registering, (which i understand you can do). so how am i supposed to install it without a registration? Thanks, Tom

  3. Hey guys, I got most of my project almost done. I have successfully been able to mute my music, e.g. skyBlue and other url based music, during transmitions and receiving, but only on the COM1 radio. The only problem I am having is the COM2 offset. I don't believe that I have the right offset, because instead of returning a byte, i.e. 0 or 1, it is returning random numbers, e.g. 61045631. The offest I am using for COM2 is 0x7b99 for receiving and 0x07b9a for transmitting. Are these the right offsets? And if so, what could be going wrong? Once I am done, I might need some people to help beta test to work out any problems or to help develop it more. I don't know if there is anything out like this, but if there is oh well. I have enjoyed working on it. Right now, I believe it will only work with Squawkbox, because those are the offsets that I am using.
  4. Hello All, Thanks for taking the time to review my config. I'm new to compound functions however for the most part i have had no issues. With the current config i'm having one issue with B3. The issue currently only affects my 2enginejet profile. I believe its because of the the highlighted macro i created for the 777pmdg. It turns on LNav and Vnav(which works). What docent work highlighted in red is a simple function of Shift+z. This command works on any prop or non 2enginejet profile. I'm no where near finishing but i would rather get an understanding of why i have this issue before i procced. also if anyone can advise a better way, maybe with flags i'm open to suggestions.   5. hello, i just bought FSUIPC and everything just works fine with all of my controls it recognize every single control but with my ch products pro rudder pedals he recognize my rudder but when i press the pedals he dont recognize the brake axis. also in the ch control manager i dont have any brake in the calibration software. my rudder just works fine but i have NO BRAKES, please help Your Sincelery, Mels Visser
  6. Good day folks! Long-time simmer and flyer but now I'm getting serious about my sim setup as I'm going for my instrument rating. I'm having some issues when using the Emuteq GNS530 with RealityXP Garmin530 along side TrackIR 5. Some of the keys and encoders on the Garsim unit end up kicking my session back to the desktop. When installing the Garsim unit, I pasted the new FSUIPC key mapping strokes into the RealityXP file. This works wonderfully in just the plain ol' VC but when I use the TrackIR that is where I'm having an issue. Looking at the FSUIPC mapping for the RealityXP gauge, it seems that they are mapped as keystrokes usually something like "Win+7." I can't find anything in the TrackIR utility that would cause a conflict. Any thoughts out there? Cheers - Ty
  7. Hi, I am quite new to flight simulations. I have joined a VA and I am need to use FSUIPC 4 to connect to ACARS. When I first started flight simulator and downloaded FSUIPC to try it out it started crashing fsx when en route or at the start of cruise altitude and it will say "fatal error occurred". When I stopped using full screen (so that I can switch between apps) it mysteriously disappeared. After 2-3 months, it suddenly reappeared. I do not know whether it is related or not to the full screen mode but I am sure it is being caused by FSUIPC because it disappears when I delete it (it crashes full screen or not now). Now it freezes when I load my aircraft on airports like KORB or S28 (only certain airports) but it also sometimes crashes fsx while en route or in flight. I have tried downloading the older version of FSUPC - 4.909 (I think) and now it freezes after taking off or reloading after a crash (Still learning).I know it cannot be because of any addons because it froze the first time I downloaded it and there were not any addons. This issue is really becoming annoying as I need to quit online events in my VA. Please help :( . I really need FSUIPC so that I can connect to ACARS. Thanks :D , Aaron.   8. So apparently when opened FSX I hit the FSUIPC menu button and nothing happened. I realized I had an old version like FSUIPC 4.92 and upgraded. Did the installation and everything said it was ok. So i went back to FSX and the emu button still doesn't work. Any ideas?
  9. Hi dear, Since I acquired the Thrusmasteur Warthog joystick, I managed to create a macro mouse to use the PMDG B777. My problem concerns the assignment of the two switches "Warthog": "EAC" and "Path", which does not recognize on FSX the award via FSUIPC for "strobe" and "panel" that is a keyboard command for lighting panel or mouse to macro strobe. By-cons, if I assign these functions to other single button switch and not rocking it works without problem. After extensive testing in-concluded I was after idea. Information for my joystick and many logs in FSX. Thank you in advance for your help. Hello Pete, after reading the content "Error message when installing FSUIPC 4.924a", I try to clean my registry too: - I delete the old P3D (Version 1.4) registry inside the folder "HKEY_CURRENT_USER / Software / Lockheed Martin" - Now I can see only the the correct registry "Prepar3D V2" - AppPath = C:\Program Files (x86)\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2\ - I delete different old versions of Prepar3D.cfg via the Windows Explorer - Now one Prepar3D.cfg exists under: C:\Users\Andreas\AppData\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v2 - After cleaning the registry, Windows 8.1 64bit was shut down and started again. After restarting P3D V2 and shut down again, I try to install FSUIPC 4.923 with the following error message: "Problem: Cannot edit the Prepar3D DLL.XML file to activate FSUIPC.   11. I've paid for and downloaded FSFS Pro 2013 thinking it was complete but am told on installing that I now need the free FSUIPC, at least v. 4.9 from http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html. On going there I find several versions for different programs, but no mention of which one is needed for FSFS Pro 2013. Can anyone advise definatively?
  12. Hi, I'm writing a programm which is aimed at controlling helicopters in FSX. I use SDK files (C++) to read and write offsets and everything is fine except for the collective axis. I tried both offsets 088C and 089A (and their equivalent for engines 2, 3 and 4) and I get a strange behaviour : writing at 088C doesn't seem to work at all but writing at 089A work only for the bell (FSX Acceleration) but not for the Robinson or the Agusta. If somebody has any idea, I'm lost here... EDIT : For helos like Robinson or Agusta, writing to 088C does not have an effect although this is still representative of the collective axis (verified through FSUIPC logging capacity with an USB throttle). Actually, the value doesn't follow the external writing for those models, but it does for Bell model.   13. Hello, I have FSUIPC with Prepar3D and I want to create a program to get the Prepar3D's information through FSUIPC. To do this, I would like to use Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 and the FSUIPC SDK. The problem is that I don't usually use Microsoft Visual C++ and I don't know how to integrate the SDK. I don't really know what to do with the .h .c .lib and .rc files... Can anyone help me please?   14. Hi Pete, Just an inquiry if you know if the engine sound volume can be altered in flight. The reason I ask this is that in most rear engined aircraft the engine volume becomes almost non existent once you pass a certain airspeed. As I fly a Learjet in FS it would be nice to reduce the engine sound as I increase in speed. As it is at the moment the engine sounds are just as loud if I am doing 160kts or 320kts. Could this be done in LUA? Thanks Jeff
  15. Hi I have just purchased FSUIPC but when I go to register with the activation key I am getting 2 messages the first one says (Your current version of FSIUPC is later! It has not been over written ) when I try to continue by clicking the ok button I get the second message Problem! The signature check fails on the installed FSIUPC4.DLL. Please check that simflight is not listed as an " untrusted publisher" in InternetExplorer (Internet OPtions-Publishers) I have checked and it is not listed as Untrusted I then click the ok button and am presented with the registration I then enter my details and the activation key etc, but it does not accept the registration key I have cut and pasted it to avoided any mistakes and have also typed it in manually and still does not accept it Any help would be greatly appreciated many thanks in advance Regards Ian

  17. Hi Pete! I am building an Airbus x Extended FCU. I already read out all the LVars that I will need for Displaying the Heading, Altitude, Speed, Vertical Speed. Now I'm stuck! For the Arcaze Board I need to write the LVar Data in the Offsets of FSUIPC. I don't know how to do that! Could you/anyone give me an example or a ready *.lua file ( :razz:)? Thanks Allrounder
  18. I am a long time user of FS (snce it started) and the FSUIPC products. I recently got wideserver/client downloads (fully registered) after completing my cockpit build. I have two networked computers that are talking just fine. Project Magenta and other programs are talking back and forth. I installed the wideclient on both computers (can't seem to figure out how to install the server)...and get some weird errors. Only with FSCommander 9.x I see a message that WideServer is started on the host computer, and I start client on the other computer - and I get the waiting for connection message. when i start FSCommander I receive the MSG#2 and then MSG#14. I have read through the forums here to try and solve, but no luck. I have the current version of FSUIPC on both computers...and not being a software genius, am not sure how to add lines to the ini's to start certain programs, and make it work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   19. .NET DLL for communicating with FSUIPC Attached is Version 2.4 of my FSUIPC Client DLL for .NET Benefits: Object-Oriented class interface better suited to .NET than the other procedural .NET SDKs. Data from FSUIPC is returned directly to your .NET variables. Supported types are: Byte, Int16, Int32, Int64, UInt16, UInt32, UInt64, Double, Single String (Unicode/ASCII conversion and termination handled for you) BitArray (Allows you to easily manage the bit field type offsets) Array of Bytes (Allows you to read and write raw blocks of data if you need that level of control.) Writes are handled just by assigning a new value to the local .NET data variable. The write to FSUIPC will be handled automatically during the next Process(). Errors are handled by .NET exceptions, not by checking return values. The DLL can be use with any .NET language. Documentation and example projects for C# and Visual Basic.NET.   20. I am working on a c# program using the .NET Client DLL that, among other things, allows failing engines and instruments. I have been able to read values of things like the light status, etc. I would like to have the fail engine button set to fail the engine if it is currently working, or un-fail the engines if they are currently failed. However, when i try to read the current value, instead of a value, i just get FSUIPC.Offset`1[system.Int16]. Is the failure offset write only? I set the variable like this: private Offset<short> failEngines = new Offset<short>(0x0B6B); //Offset to fail the engines And try to read it: // Failure // Write status of failures to failure box this.failuresBox.Text = failEngines.ToString(); Is the offset write only (if that's possible) or is there something else that i need to be doing? I am currently using FSX.
  21. Hello, I had no problems installing FSUIPC for FSMetar 2004 in Windows 7, but while upgrading to Windows 8, my FSMetar program file disappeared. I've searched, but can't find it. Can you tell me where I can download a fresh copy of FSMetar? By the way, I just opened this account. I go by "aeroart" or "propjob" on a few US and UK flight sim sites. Thanks for your help. Art
  22. Hello all, I was wondering if I could get some help with an issue that I am having with FSX. The issue is that when I start a flight, for instance at KBOS, with the PMDG the sim runs fantastically around 30 fps for about 5 seconds. Then I get a gd3.dll error and Fsuipc catches it and keeps the sim alive. The problem starts one fsuipc reloads the sim. It comes back nearly frozen. The startup timer for the PMDG NGX instead of taking its normal 19 seconds took almost 19 minuets, and during this time the hat switch on my yoke is completely inop and the computer does not respond to any inputs I make to it, and the scenery around the aircraft is stuck in a loading phase. This is then the state of the sim, I left it in this state for a half hour walked away and came back to it and there was no change. I have tried Bojotes fsx cfg tweaking tool, deleting and rebuilding the fsx cfg, deleteing and reinstalling fsuipc, adjusting my sliders to lower setting and still no luck. I think I am running a fairly high end system with a AMD quad core 4.2ghz processor, 8GB gddr3 RAM, a GTX 660Ti with 2GB gddr 5 RAM, 500 gb hardrive, and 450 watt power supply.. I have no idea what could be causing this and I am desperate for help. Anything someone can suggest to me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you
  23. This is an on going problem. Here is my data: Windows 7 SP1 64bit 16 GB Ram FSX with Accelerator FSUIPC 4.9 (registered) Here is my problem: 1. When I install MyTraffic2013 my FSCommander and RF Cockpit (iPad) stop working. I get lat/long 0.0 when I connect to FSX in FSCommander and none of my guages work in my RF Cockpit. 2. At the same time, "Microsoft Flight Simulator X with WideServer: waiting for clients" no longer appears in the upper right hand corner of the simulator. 3. If I perform the first step in deinstalling MyTraffic, ie.MyTraffic 2013 Manager and REMOVE AIRCRAFT, SCENERY AND SCHEDULES IN MY TRAFFIC FOLDER everything begins to work again and the WideServer message reappears. It appears that MyTraffic2013 (and earlier edition) seems to prevent FSUIPC in communicating with those addons that use it. MT2013 is the only thing that changed. I really want to use RF Cockpit, FSCommander and MyTraffic2013. I have attached WideServer logs with MT2013 and wo MT2013. WideServer Logs.txt Can you help?
  24. Hello, :razz: I am having problems with my Saitek throttle quadrants ; the throttle levers are not synchronised at the same positions. For Example, I could have them In the exact same position (physically) on the quadrant, but on the simulator I get different output, It may only be 3-4% of a difference in throttle but asymmetrical thrust Is actually quite a problem in the simulator. The two throttle levers that aren't synchronised are both on the same quadrant which makes it even more strange :???: . I have FSUIPC installed and I have tried mapping the throttle controls into there to see if It makes a difference, but it remains the same. If someone has a workaround for this in FSUIPC to calibrate the throttle positions to be the same I would be very appreciative if you could help me, Thanks in advance! Kriss

Hi, I have a problem with the fsuipc installed on fsx. i had windows 7 about 2 weeks ago. everything worked fine until i have upgraded to windows 8. after that , everytime i try to start a flight, in the beginning the yoke responses correctly, but all of a sudden it disconnects from fsx!! it means that the FSX doesn't see the Saitek Yoke and Saitek Rudder in CONTROLLER TYPE in the CONTROLS settings ( in fsx ). I know that the yoke and the rudder is still connected to the computer and function, because when i check the Joystick Settings in the Control Panel of the windows 8, i see that i can move them and they respond to my movements. but in fsx, they are unresponsive. if i close fsx and then re-run it, the problem goes but again after a while it becomes unresponsive again. please help me find a solution to this problem Thanks Shahdad
