Hey, While Tower! 2011 came with excellent editors, I am wondering if users would be able to create third party airports for this game as well (building our own assets and animations in an editor like 3DS Max, Maya, or Blender, to use it as a base for a new airport). While Tower! 2011's editors were easy to use, obtaining satellite imagery would have been costly, and that probably put many people off from editing. With the 3D version, however, airports are not necessary based on satellite images (it is possible to make one without them, albeit more work with ground textures). I see many possibilities in this. So my question is: will there be editors provided with the game at some point (perhaps with the Pro version)? Thanks! Peter :)
  2. Dear Folks, ANYTHING BELOW IS PROVIDED AS IS WITHOUT ANY SUPPORT. WE CAN CHANGE OR REMOVE THESE FEATURES WITHOUT NOTICE. EDITING THE SOFTWARE IS NOT PART OF YOUR PURCHASE PLEASE CONSIDER IT AN ADDED, UNSUPPORTED BONUS. As I promised earlier here is a little information about how to do some editing within Tower!3D. Let me use KLAX for an example. First of all you need to make a directory and subdirectory within Tower!3D Tower!3D ->Extensions -->Airfields --->KLAX (for example) Within the KLAX folder you can add any of these files: klax_airplanes.txt [you can define airplane types for KLAX ie.: AJT0-JT0-Widebody Default Jet -WIDE BODY JET ] klax_schedule.txt [schedules for klax] klax_terminal.txt [terminal.cfg] By creating any folder under T!3D/Extensions/Airfields/XXXX you can add these files and they will overwrite the default files for those airports
