Voice / Multi-monitor support not working.
Garret posted a topic in ATC SimulatorsI just purchased Tower! 3D Pro and I'm unable to hear pilot voices, and can't get the scope windows to move to my other monitors. I have Windows 7 professional which is 64 bit. That was all the website stated was required. The Test recog / Test speech buttons do nothing when I click on them.
Hi, I found an issue with Voice Recognition problem with Tower 3D! Pro but also with many other voice recognition softwares where a VR doesn't work etc .... I found a solution that may help someone. This can help someone with similar hardware or software in troubleshooting. Motherboard MSI Z170A Gaming 5 is eqquipied with Realtek HD Audio codec supporting natively "Nahimic" technology, software (hardware also?) for equalizing sound, processing input/output signals. The problem is that Nahimic take the signal input from the microphone but doesn't send it to VR module. Windows get the speech recognition correctly, but external softwares like Tower 3D! Pro, FS2Crew and similar seems that voice recognition module starts correctly but don't receive any input from microphone. Some external different modules for VR works well like in ATCPro (but recognition is so baaaad). The solution is to close Nahimic program (blue icon with N) and with newest Realtek driver to check in task manager (alt+ctr+del / processes tab) if all Nahimic processes are stopped, provided by sound driver. Then EUREKA ... It works again flawlessly .... Hope this can help someone with MSI MB or with Nahimic software.
Intermittent read-backs from pilots?
William Huang posted a topic in ATC SimulatorsHi I wonder if any one of you had this problem before: the game runs (otherwise) normally but read-backs from pilots SOMETIMES just won't play. I'm pretty sure openAL is installed and configured properly as I do hear read-backs sometimes... I'm running Windows 7 Professional 64-bit (en-US) and speech recognition works fine for me. Any ideas what might be the problem? Thanks!
I am trying to use Lua to create a method of setting the heading in the fsx autopilot by using a voice command such as "set heading two four zero". I saw a code sample somewhere using Google, but can't find it again. In any case, the Microsoft voice recognizer engine won't act like the normal dictation engine when it's running inside fsx. It's looking for the phrase "press two" to press a key, followed by "enter". I want to send a voice recognition phrase, as in "set heading two four zero" and have the recognition engine recognize is as a phrase without requiring any key press strokes. I have already figured out the code to get and send the variable to the autopilot, but it's the ability to have the engine recognize a phrase that's got me stumped. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
