drskyking
When I try to load SB on my client computer with WideFS it says it is looking for an instance of FS on the computer and won't load it. I have FS2002 on my desktop and want to run Squawkbox, Servinfo and AVC on the client laptop. I have the network setup and working, registered fsuipc and widefs. Thank you. Jamie Fox
When you run WideClient, its title bar should change from 'Waiting for connection' to 'Connected'. Has it done this successfully?
drskyking
I hadn't even run it yet as I was trying to load Squakbox on the client computer so it didn't have to run on the main desktop that FS2002 runs on and it wouldn't let me install SB. Should I run wideFS first then try to install SB on the client computer? Thanks again.

But you said earlier: When I try to load SB on my client computer with WideFS it says it is looking for an instance of FS on the computer and won't load it. The "client computer with WideFS" should mean a PC with WideClient ruunning! What does it mean to you? It is WideClient which looks like FS to the application, like Squawkbox. Run WideClient, see it connect to FS, run Squawkbox. Pete

drskyking
What I was doing was trying to install with setup, SB on the client computer ahead of time before installing and running wideFS on the the client computer. When I try to run SB setup it says it needs FS2002 which is on the other computer I use for FS2002. My question was how do you install SB on the client computer that doesn't have FS2002 on it. sorry again. Thank you.
Pete Dowson
My question was how do you install SB on the client computer that doesn't have FS2002 on it. I'm not sure why it would want FS2002 to be on it, but possibly that's so it can install some DLLs or other parts into the FS installation. Probably you would need to install it on the FS PC then copy the SB folder onto the client PC to be run from there. I am sure there must be some good help on this at wherever SB is supported. I don't actually fly on-line myself, but I do know that many folks run SB on a client PC. Regards, Pete
drskyking
Thanks. Not being any kind of programmer but appreciating what it takes to be one, great job you have done for this "hobby"! Take care.
