mimmonick
Dear pete, Can you help me? Sorry for my english, I don't speak it very well. Is there a command sent in button configuration of FSUIPC that allow me to reset view position as I have configurated? Example: I use to fly Virtual cockpit a zoom 0.75 and little up to see good under window (Shift+BackSpace). In fly I see around by Hot Switch joystick. When I reset View to see forward, I lost not the zoom but I lost ....(I don't know english word), I lost the set of view Up (Shift BackSpace, I Think). I don't know if my english is understandable. Thanks for you Help. Can you answer by simple english ???? Thanks.
Frank.O
Hi, to make your preferred view setting permanent you have to edit the panel.cfg of the aircraft. There is a "HowTo" written by Lou Betty about that on flighsim.com. It is a bit older (for FS2000) but still valid. You'll have to edit or create the [views] section and play with the "look_forward_dir=.." and "look_forward_zoom=.." parameters. Same goes for every other view direction. HTH Regards, Frank Edit: Just found the tutorial, here's the link: http://www.flightsim.com/cgi/kds?nkqaW00J=main/howto/view_win.htm
Pete Dowson
Is there a command sent in button configuration of FSUIPC that allow me to reset view position as I have configurated? To reset the Zoom to 1x use the Zoom 1x control (this is assigned by default in FS to the backspace key). To reset the eyepoint, which is what you may be looking for, use Eyepoint Reset, which FS normally assigns to the Space bar. There is a View Reset control which should restore everything to actual view direction and zoom, but it doesn't appear to be connected up inside FS.
