pchobbs
I purchased and installed the FS Military package, but I could not find any ships. I manually added the scenery to FS9 including the 3 carrier directorys and the MyWorldObj directory. Now I have the carriers and the AI planes, but the carriers sit on top of a raise spot in the ocean and the planes are at the raised ocean level, not at the ship deck level. If the ocean level was not raised, then it looks like everything would be OK. Any ideas on what I can to to fix this. Thanks, Paul
Burkhard
The scenery library entries for the carriers are very complex and contain a bunch of additional (flatten) instructions for the carriers, so you should let the Add_myNavy exe do them. Remove the three carriers and MyWorldobj, than run Add_Mynavy.exe If you want to keep manual control, backup your scewnery.cfg files before and after, and add the differences manually. pchobbs
Burkhard, Thanks for the reply - it does look like a missing flatten problem. I have installed, de-installed, and re-installed twice. I have done a complete hard disk search and there is no AddPMynave.exe anywhere on it. Where and how do I get this exe file? Or, where are the flatten files? Thanks for your help! Paul
pchobbs
Sorry for the typo - There is no Add_Mynave.exe ...
pchobbs
After checking other posts, I also looked for addmymill.exe in addition to add_mynavy.exe. No luch finding either one. Paul
Burkhard
Sorry, also I made a small typo, the exact file is \AddMyNavy.exe, this needs a file \MyNavyConf.txt, and both are part of the MyNavy as of the Military AI package. To ease your life, I attached it here, just place to the FS9 top directory and execute it. AddMyNavy.zip
pchobbs
Dear Burkhard: After some false starts and moving of files, running the AddMyNavy.exe worked. I believe the basic problem was that the install program was not looking in the correct directories for various files. My flight simulator is in C:\Games\Fltsim2004 which is not a standard location for FS. Thanks for your help. Best regards, Paul
