Installing 3rd Party AFCAD files

Hi all,

I have MyTraffic 2004 and would like to bring in some third party AFCAD files. I am assuming that the Mytraffic AFCAD's are setup to bunch airlines but may or may not necessarily be accurate. AVSIM has quite the library of realistic AFCADS available.

I know there is a bunch of AFCAD's in the myworldscenery folders. Do I need to delete the airports I want to replace (of course backing up first) to install additional AFCAD's or just copy the new one into the AddonScenery\Scenery Folders.

For example, I am trying to install a new version of Boston Logan International (KBOS) which has scenery updates, textures, and a new AFCAD creating realistic gates with jetways.

Thanks!

-Ivan

Hi Ivan,

You do not need to delete the AFCAD files for the respective airports. Just place the new AFCAD files in the Addon Scenery\Scenery directory and (assuming your scenery library is setup correctly - MyWorld Airports right below the Addon Scenery Layer), the new AFCADs will override those included in MyTraffic.

Hi Husain!

But sometimes FS have problems with double AFCAD's. Per example I have many packages of the UK2000 sceneries, which cames with their own AFCAD's of course.

On some UK2000 airports I had CTD's or black screens blaming atc.dll.

After disabling all respective AFCAD's of MyTraffic the problems were gone.
