PMDG 737-800/900 FMC anf FS9 flighplans

Recommended Posts

Hi - here's a question that's stumped me, but someone may be able to help. I am getting to grips with the 737-800/900, but the FS9 ATC often routes me differently to the specimen flightplans I have entered into the FMC. I suppose that I could laboriously reproduce the FMC flightplan into the FS9 planner, but I think an automatic 'population' of the FS9 planner with a completed FMC plan would be a much more 'elegant' solution. I got to thinking that maybe FSUIPC may be able to control this activity (a version with its own 'key' is supplied with my 737). Any ideas? Should I / can I upgrade my commercially-supplied version (I'd like to audition a bit more before I splash out on the full version, but I expect I will be going that way before very long at all :-).

Thanks in anticipation

I'm sorry, but FSUIPC is certainly not an application utility of the type you need -- this is quite outside its scope, as well as being very application specific. I think you'd best be directing your request to the aircraft makers who will be familiar with their own FMC (I certainly am not).

Pete

Peter, thanks for your rapid response.

I suspected that FSUIPC might not be the right beast to solve this particular problem, but its always worth asking! I will now try again to broach the subject with PMDG, they may have encountered the issue before, but I can't find a forum thread that covers it....

i suppose another tack might be to find a 3rd party planner that exports/saves-as both PMDG FMC and FS9 flight plan formats, then load both into the respective apps separately.

Anyway, thanks again, and congratualtions on a very clever piece of work in FSUIPC.
