Something in the back of my mind nagged me about this "SafeLine" thing, so I looked through the older threads. There's a thread actually entitled "SafeLine Console". Isn't this relevant to your query? Looks like it. It seems that it was eventually confirmed there that this device is not dependent on FSUIPC, and that some folks do have problems with it, seemingly depending on the version of Windows they use.
