flyboi 0
I dont really use AI traffic, but i do really like the MyTraffic models. I was wondering if i could use the MYtraffic models in FSX with FSINN. Since FSINN follows certain codes for airlines and models, do the models match up with the aircraft being flown? I know, it sounds confusing, but if someone is flying a United A320 on their simulator, will a mytraffic UAL A320 show up for their aircraft? Thanks Andrew
Burkhard 23
I'm not aware of a product called FSINN, could you give us a link here? The only way FSX adresses aircrafts is through the title entry, so it will most likely be necessary, but sufficient to change the title= entry.
Saheike 0
Hi, Burkhard... FSInn is a part of VATSIMS FSCopilot which is used to fly online on VATSIM servers. Here is the Link http://www.mcdu.com/en/download.php Saheike 8)
Burkhard 23
Danke. Da habe ich schonmal was von gehört. Das sollte in der Tat durch editieren von entweder aircraft.cfg oder deren Datei machbar sein.
flyboi 0
i dont mean to be a jerk...but i dont speak tha other language...
Burkhard 23
Sorry, late night post. I heared about user using MyTraffic aircrafts under VATSIM, and it was a simple editing of either the aircraft.cfg or some VATSIM files. Anybody around here who goes VATSIM from time to time and did this?
flyboi 0
nice, a link would be great
Daniel42 0
Back from the honeymoon :) I used FSInn with MTX, but it took a lowlevel hexedit of an FSInn DLL to get it to read the MTX planes. It would scan \SimObjects\Helicopters folder and I changed it to \MyTraffic\Aircraft So really a quick and very dirty trick for those who know what they are doing. But... I also informed the creators of FSInn and they said they would fix/include this in the new release of FSInn. Daniel
Burkhard 23
Thanks - so they "hide" their planes under helicopters - I can't tell you how happy I am about the nasty FSX.cfg entry, that allows to have all MyTraffic files under a MyTraffic Folder, and be on on moon, just needs a moon\MyTraffic entry
flyboi 0
hey i cant find the FSINN.dll file. and how do i open up a .dll file anyway? i cant use the notepad...
Daniel42 0
They ALSO scan the helicopter (to be correct, it's actually the 'rotorcraft') directory, along with the regular aircraft :) Editing DLL's: Like I said: "So really a quick and very dirty trick for those who know what they are doing." See this post on the FSInn forum: http://www.mcdu.com/forum/viewtopic.php=mytraffic It should be in FSInn 1.3 which is in Beta stage right now. Daniel
Burkhard 23
If this is true, moving the MyTraffic airplanes that you want to use from MyTraffic\aircraft to simobjects\airplanes would do the same trick ?
flyboi 0
ok...but which .dll file is it called? is it the FSCOPILOT one in the modules folder?
Saheike 0
Hi... after the last few days with problems in my sim1.dll I have thrown FSCopilot off my pc. Don´t know why but in every second or third session I got a crash with an error message of sim1.dll in both versions (FS9 and FSX). I have no fun anymore flying online. Yes Flyboi it is the FSCopilot.dll in Modules Folder. Saheike
flyboi 0
oh ok, thats good to know. which hex editor would you guys recommend? i'm new to this. oh i got an idea :D how bout one of you attach your fscopilot.dll's to the thread  that way there's no editing involved hehe
Burkhard 23
I do not think it is a good idea to attach it here in public, I would have to remove it immediately since it is a copyrighted software.
Daniel42 0
After reinstalling for FSX SP1 I haven't got FSInn anymore, nor the edited DLL. UltraEdit is the one I use. I did try something else this morning, but unfortunately Windows Shortcuts are nothing like Linux Symbolic links. Daniel
ThePilotAce 0
In which version of FsInn is this .dll edit present?
Burkhard 23
Most DLLs for FSX.0 do not work with FSX.1, there has been a change of the C++ compiler libraries in between. Sorry, software development is harder these times than ever.
flyboi 0
I cannot figure out how to use this program to change this one line. If someone could email me detailed instructions at andrewpurdie@comcast.net that would be very helpful...thank you again
