jan737
Hi I have a question about key combinations and Fsuipc. I'm using the keyboard of my FS computer to control my KVM switch. The key combination is Alt-Ctrl-Shift 1 [Enter]. The number 1 can vary from 1 to 4 for wich computer I select. Now I like to make 4 buttons who send the above key combination to the Kvm switch so I don't need the keyboard anymore. Is this possible? Pete Dowson
The key combination is Alt-Ctrl-Shift 1 [Enter]. The number 1 can vary from 1 to 4 for wich computer I select. Sorry, I don't understand where "Enter" comes in -- is that in combination with the other 4, or separated, afterwards? Certainly combinations like ALT+CTRL+SHFT+'1' are possible, though there is always the danger that the ALT part will invoke FS's menu system. Now I like to make 4 buttons who send the above key combination to the Kvm switch so I don't need the keyboard anymore. Is this possible? Ahprobably not with FSUIPC button assignments, as it only sends the key-presses to FS. Possibly your KVM software will intercept these, but it seems unlikely. I think these usually intercept keypress combinations at a much lower level, which would mean either a real keyboard or something which could emulate it at the right level.
