I have the last Fsuipc4 for FSX. and the last client Versions 6.75 The connection is OK , GPS out is working fine. Fsuipc4 ini: [buttons] 1=R0,8,K145,8 But what must I put in in the client INI to make this work ? I have try different things but no success. I can not find it in the User guide perhaps I look over it. Best regards, Frans http://www.FSweekend.com
Pete Dowson
I have a FS9 setup with wideFS for using a joke button at the server FS-PC to active the talk button for Teamspeak (IVAO) at the client PC. That is working fine. WideServer ini : have this KeySend1=8 KeySend2=8,1 the cleint ini; have this UseSendInput=Yes KeySend1=145,17 KeySend2=145,25 Hmm. The WideServer support for KeySend was left in for existing users, but all KeySend support was moved to FSUIPC's buttons and key assignments facilities long ago, it being more useful (and user-friendly) there. I have the last Fsuipc4 for FSX. That is unfortunately quite meaningless. "Last" meaning the "last one I downloaded", or what? Please, always quote version numbers. They aren't hard to find. Fsuipc4 ini:[buttons] 1=R0,8,K145,8 All that does it tell FSUIPC to send FS that Keystroke when you press that button. How did you think it could ever reach a Client PC? Why not look this up in the documentation? The WideFS document does explain it. You assign your button (or a keypress if you like) to a "KeySend" control. In you case, the KeySend control with a parameter of 1 to invoke KeySend1, and 2 to invoke KeySend2. Surely that isn't really so difficult to understand now, is it? But what must I put in in the client INI to make this work ? Leave your WideClient exactly as it was. Only the Server end is changing. nothing is different on a Wide client PC! I can not find it in the User guide perhaps I look over it. Evidently. What about this part of the WideFS Technical Guide? KeySend parametersThese are still incorporated into WideServer for backward compatibility with users’ existing set-ups, but new users please use the FSUIPC Buttons page instead and assign buttons to the KeySend control in the drop down controls lists. The KeySend number (1–255) is entered as a parameter. You can also assign keys to KeySends in FSUIPC. Or this, in both the Keys and Buttons sections of the FSUIPC User Guide: A control for sending KeySend messages to WideFS clients running on other PCs. The specific KeySend number is set as a parameter (1–255) and is equated to a key press directed to a client program in the relevant WideClient.ini file. Just be sure to set the parameter for the KeySend control to the same number (“N” in KeySendN=…) used in the WideClient.ini file, as it is this which related the two. (Please see the WideFS documentation for more details of its KeySend facilities). Pete
