FSUIPC and WideFS registration causes freeze

I have Vista64 and FS9. FSUIPC 3.74 and WideFS 6.51.

When I try to register and place the cursor in any field it appears for one blink then disappears. I can move the mouse cursor around but everything is frozen.

I have tried using "run as administrator" option (UAC is disabled). I have tried using a window view mode and tried tabbing thru the fields all to no avail. I have even tried to run it in the WinXP compatabilty mode.

I have noticed that when I load a flight and then press the alt key to get the menu that the scenery can sometimes change to the FS9 splash screen and the cursor can go black. I have an ATI 4850 graphics card with the latest catalyst drivers.

I have read a similar post here a while ago, but it did not have a conclusion.

How do I register these products?

Those versions are really very very much out of date and totally unsupported. Please update before asking for support. If you look at the Announcements at the top of this forum it does keep you abreast of these things.
