Reinstalling problem

Recommended Posts

I have had to re-install fsx and have now put it onto a different drive (F) so when installing Traffic Sounds Extreme I directed it to my FSX folder on the F Drive. However I have no sounds from my AI Aircraft any longer (WOAI). Is this because I should have left it at the default installation of C:// ?

Hello James

Sorry I have taken a little replying to you!

As long as the Traffic_Sounds folder is in your FSX Flightsim Misc folder,it really does not matter, your aliases likewise. If by chance it has not loaded into your Misc folder then locate it and copy it into the Misc folder.

It might be worth checking that your aliases are correct. Do a manual install, then copy all your aliases into your AI aircraft.

Any further probs email me

Cheers Alan

The Traffic_Sounds folder is in my FSX Flightsim Misc folder.

The folder consists of the below four folders:-

Jets

Military

Props

Rotocraft

In each folder are other folders corresponding with various AI_Aircraft and each of these is a zip file of Soundai.

Is this correct?

With regard to the Sound aliases being correct I use WOAI and all the aircraft are installed in the Sim Objects/Airplanes folder. The sound AI for them is in this format

[FLTSIM]

alias=..\Airplanes\B737_800\soundai

Is this now correct?

If not how do I "Do a manual install, then copy all your aliases into your AI aircraft" as suggested?
