Error Downloading Weather File

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

I'm having the same problem as a lot of people but can't find aworking solution in these forums. I've tried the 8.4 versions and always get the same problem trying to download weather ("Error Downloading Weather File").

I can see the URL in firefox/ie if I copy and paste from the FSX options dialog.

VATSIM downloads seem to work fine - can anyone tell me how to fix this?

Cheers

Ian

Hi Volke,

i'm

already using 8.4.2 bu the download doesn't work. I already read the posts about manually downloading the meetar file from the website but was hoping a fix had been developed to make FSC work again, Is this still being looked at as a bug by you and Sascha?

Cheers

Ian

Hi Ian,

first of all, this is actually not a bug of FS Commander. In fact, as you can see from the protocol you attached, the remote server receives the message, but cannot send the file back to your computer, whatever the reason for this may be. We are using the Inet control which manages the download, but trivially we have no control over anything that prevents the the download to be carried out properly. Since the download works for most people, but not for all, we assume that this must have something to do with Windows settings, browser setting, or the like.

Regards

Sascha

Oh, how odd. Any idea why it worked fine for years and now it doesn't? My PC hasn't been changed in any way (ie no hardware or software changes, no new drivers, no alterations to my profile permissions. Completely unchanged apart from the new FSC version)

Thanks

Ian
