FS Commander/Radar Contact/FSX: Weather Issue

Hallo fellow simmers,

Its my first vist here. Since a couple of weeks I use FSC 8 and I really like this addon. But now I have a problem.

I just cannot find out, how I get the real weather I downloaded in FSC 8 (after I eventually found the new URL) into my FSX. Because I am using FSC together with Radar Contact 4.3 I always have conflicting weather data and subsequently strange situations, because FSX can obviously not read the weather data included in the flight plan, I created in FSC.

What I know is, that Radar Contact uses the weather from FSX. But FSX gets its data for real weather from a different source, as FSC does. So the "default" FSX real weather is of no use and therefore I don´t use it. The "normal" way should be, as I thought, to import a flight plan, created in FSC together with its own weather data and use it in FSX. Then, Radar Contact should know, whether the sun shines, or snow is falling :) . And additionally the wonderful moving GPS-map shows the weather data, the other two programs use.

But this does not work and I just cannot find out, how I get FSC weather data into my FSX, because it obviously does not use it despite having the FSC flight-plan. Maybe I am making a stupid mistake, but I could not find an answer in the FSC manual or tutorial. I hope I described my problem in a not too confusing way and somebody can help me?

Many thanks, mikfun

Thank you Volker,

This was a clear answer to my question and I immediately can give up to search for a solution of the weather issue :) .

But please don´t misunderstand me. Is the real weather-funtion in FSC merely a nice gimmic of no use? Obviously. This is sad, because I love this FSX-Addon and the moving GPS-map is just great, including the nice visualisation of weather data.

Finaly, you can trust me :) , I am a manual-reader :D .

Thanks again, mikfun
