Pete Dowson
Installed everthing and since then my fsx crashes with a fatal error as soon as my flight is started. Tried the following : rename fsuipc4.dll to fsuipc4.orig (knowing that it wont work anymore) and no more crashes. It isn't FSUIPC4 which is crashing, as your details show: Faulting application name: fsx.exe, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stamp: 0x475e17d3Faulting module name: weather.dll, version: 10.0.61472.0, time stamp: 0x475e180e ... Faulting application path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\fsx.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\weather.dll It is the weather DLL crashing, probably because of a corrupted WEATHER file (.wx) being loaded for your default flight. Those weather files are in a binary format and can crash FSX quite easily when corrupt. The only reason it happen with FSUIPC4 loaded is that as part of its service to applications FSUIPC4 is reading the weather data through SimConnect. Delete the .WX files in your "My Documents\Flight simulation X Files" and you should be okay. Regards Pete

pilotp2099
Hi Pete, I have the same problem. I tried the steps to correct it but it still crashes. The message only says: FSX Fatal Error then changes to FSX is re-starting. Is this another problem altogether? Thanks, Patrick
