Hello, Here is a new issue about the above subjekt.

I have now had the FS Commander for 2 weels and cannot still use it in connection with FS9. It works perfect in FSX.

The main thing for this investment was to use it there, because of my implement of the aircraft DC9 that needs a better aid in navigating.

Since I am fed up with waitning for a soloution, I re-installed both FSC and FS9. FSC is still registated on me and the same problems remain.

So in other words I have an incomplete product and that is not satisfactory.

If there is someone interested in to come with a soloution, please se my earlier posts on this subject.

Hi, If you have read my previous posts re this problem, you have seen that I was in the very beginning played around in the flightplan to just look around. From ESSA to ESGG and from EGFP to EGKK for find out waypoints SIDS and STARS and so on, but I did not save those. After that, when I open flightplan and clicking NEW I getting this persisting message "Do you wnat to save the previous recorded data yes or no". I have tried both. There are no data to be saved. I am stuck. This is when I am connected to FS9. GPS window shows only naughts (00000) no values and does not show in aircraft. I have not planned anything in FSX only tested that it works. It does.

Leonard,

Just to verify:

Are you using the 0 and 1 parameters for FSC startup for FS9 and FSX to ensure the correct database is loaded?

More info on Page 96 of the manual.

For example:

FSC86.exe 0

to start FSC using the FS9.1 database.

Also, just to verify the FSC Database Manager was run twice .. once for FS9 and once for FSX without errors.

Hi Vaughan, I have now agin run the Database twice. One for FS9 and one for FSX. I do not know the parameters 0 and 1. Is not in my vocabulary and cannot find it in the manual. I have however tested a flight plan in FSX ESSA to ESGG saved it and open it again. That works OK. Back to FS9, choosing a new airport ESSB. When clicking on connect to FS the air port chart disappear and GPS window shows with no values. Clicking on flight plan NEW the persisting message "Do you want to save previous recording data" appears again. I think there is a problem in the saving business. It is completely locked. I have also tried to save, aso you proposed, as a test, but it does not work either. Puuuuuh! This is a long film.

Leonard,

What I would do as a quick test:

Move all your FS9 /FSC flight plans to a backup folders.

Now there are no MSFS 9.1 flight plans to select from using FSC.

What happens now?

Here is the information on starting FSC:

If you have new correct version of FSC this should be on page 96 of the manual?

Loading databases for FS2004 or FS X

Since FlightSim Commander can be used both for Flight Simulator X and FS 2004 and both versions

may have different sceneries and thus require different databases, you need to decide at program

start whether the databases for FS X or FS 2004 are to be loaded.

By default this choice needs to be made in the Options Window on the Display card. A change in

value, however, requires that the program be terminated and restarted so that the proper databases

can be loaded.

In particular, if you frequently switch between the two versions of Flight Simulator, this procedure

may turn out to be relatively cumbersome. Therefore you also have the option to decide between

versions by a parameter call.

If you start the program with fsc8x.exe 0, the databases for FS 2004 will be loaded. If you start the

program with fsc8x.exe 1, the databases for FS X will be loaded. These parameters override

whatever has been chosen in the Options Window.

If you start the program without any parameter, i.e. simply fsc8x.exe, the value set in the Option

Window will determine which databases are loaded.

Users who frequently switch between FS 2004 and FS X may want to place two icons on their

desktop, each with a different parameter. If the icons are properly labelled, then each icon may easily

be used to load the desired databases.

**** Also you said:

"When clicking on connect to FS the air port chart disappear and GPS window shows with no values. "

I would like to see a screenshot of this to see exactly what you are looking at.

When you "save" a FSC created FS9 plan, do you click on this button that says:

go directly to fs flightplan directory button

Leonard,

With e-mail not everyone in forum can see the JPG .. not good.

This is one way:

Join Photobucket (free).

http://photobucket.com/

Upload your JPG to Photobucket.

Then you can get a "link" from Photobucket to share the jpg.

You get the link by copying the IMG code that is below your JPG in Photobucket.

Copy your IMG "link" into your post.

Then anyone can see your JPG.

In my post I have the "link" twice .. once in quotes to show you and once not.

Each time the link appears in the post is shows the JPG for that link.

So here you see the same JPG two times in the post.

If you had two JPG to show you would need two different "links".

Here I have copied this jpg link from Photobucket for this post:

Your link will not have the " " quote marks ..

"SC1.jpg"

When this appears in the post everyone will see you JPG.

The "link" itself looks like this when copied from Photobucket:

http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a40/VMartell/SC1.jpg

But also contains the IMG codes at the start and end of the line.

The img codes tells the forum that an image will be in your post fron the indicated HTTP address.

** now if you click on the HTTp (blue linkyou will see my JPG also!

Vaughan,

I am sad to say that I had to change my password, so now I cannot log in to Photoshop. In the meantime I will check if I can come to understand the parameters for the database. I can´t find any files called FSCDBMxx.exe or any .exe files. I´ve only find FSCDBM_FS9 and FSX. These are notes.

Leonard,

"I am sad to say that I had to change my password,"

** What password?

"so now I cannot log in to Photoshop."

**You initially have to Register a new "free account" at Photoshop.

Then you use the Username and password you registered with.

So, I really do not understand what you are talking about.

"In the meantime I will check if I can come to understand the parameters for the database."

** Ok

" I can´t find any files called FSCDBMxx.exe or any .exe files."

Who ever mentioned FSCDBMxx.exe?

" I´ve only find FSCDBM_FS9 and FSX. These are notes. Leonard"

Ok, I have no idea where your files are or why you are looking for files.

Did you read page 96 of your manual?

Are you using a network with more than one computer?

Are you using FSUIPC WIDE on a network?

What is your Operating System?

In your previous posts you said:

"2. Latest version of FSUIP / WideFS 3.7 + 4.6"

Version 4.6 is ok

But newest version of FSUIPC for FS9 is 3.98 (not 3.7).

Why do you use FSUIPC version 3.7 from July 2006?

I have read this on the FSC internet purchase page:

For connecting FlightSim Commander with Flight Simulator you need a version of Peter Dowson's FSUIPC.DLL 3.9 (for FS2004) or FSUIPC4 (for FS-X).
