Database Loading FSC V8.6 > FSX and FS9

Recommended Posts

My Setup:

FSX + Accel Pack and FS9.1 (on separate HDDs)

All FS and related utilities installed on drives away from OS drive and Program Files folders

FSUIPC Ver 4.6a (FSX) and Ver 3.85 (FS9)

FSC Ver 8.6 / DB Manager Ver 8.6

Download from Aerosoft

Operating System Win 7-64

My Question:

Is there currently a method for FSC 8.6 for starting it up and loading the correct database for whichever version

of FS that is started. I have read that cmd line parameters (zero and one) can be used but they are not working

for me. The instruction that I read showed examples using an FSC executable that doesn't exist in my FSC 8.6

folder (FSC8x.exe). My FSC executable is FSX.exe. I'm thinking that perhaps the FSC8x.exe executable was

for an earlier FSC version.

Thank you for the fast reply Volker.

I discovered that I had not properly updated the FSC Flight Sim 9 database and

that is what was causing the "0" parameter not to work for loading the FS9

database ~:\ Got both (FSX and FS9) databases updated now, and both parameters

working like they should. The parameters are a very handy feature / option

and will be much appreciated here.

Thank you again for the very fine flight sim software.
