Anybody knows about Atlantic City (KACY)

My data show me rather regular operations of an operator with code FAO mostly out of KACY using MD80 aircraft. This was Falcon Air Express which is defunct since 2006 now, and I cannot find it associated currently. So anybody knows who is doing most likely charter out of KACY with MD80s currently? Can it be military charter, since most of the destinations are partially military too?

Spirit Airlines and Airtran fly in and out of there regularly mostly up and down the east coast.

Thanks, I see both of them, Air Tran with 717 and Spirit with Airbus, but also see flights into KPVD,KYNG,KGSO,KPIT,KMOB,KTOL,KCHA,KAGS,KCMH,KSYR,KERI,KROC,KDAY,KALB,KTRI,KPIE,KBUF,KCLT, KCVG,KICT,KTUS,KLBE,KRDU,KIAH,KDFW,KCAE and still many more. None of these flights is daily, so they look like a sort of charter, but I have counted more than 100 FAO MD80 departures ex KACY on about a month used for monitoring, so something that is not a sparse event.

There is much more happening on an airport than what is pronted on the official time schedules.

Is there anything special about sports in Atlantic city, since this aircraft is commented as "sports charter" at several places?

None that I know of at the moment. I grew up in New Jersey but have been here in Sweden the past 11 years so I'm pretty much out of touch with most there. Most likely the sports charters are to fly people in to the casinos. Its the Las Vegas of the east coast.

If there is a tour operator who sells such tours, this would explain why this aircraft comes from so many places, a different one every day...
