NO AI Traffic in LIRF and other EUR airports

Hi,

I have just installed the new 5.3a version and I do not see any more traffic in some european airports.

First I noticed that in LYBE and I thought that was because the AI traffic could be very light in this airport.

But now I have found the same issue also in LIRF that is not for sure a not busy airport: the airport is completely a desert.

On the other side LIMC is well covered.

By the way my AI traffic slider in FSX is at 35%.

Now I would understand if I could have done something wrong during the new installation (but no bad messages during it), if I have to increase the slider (but what about performances?), or if there is a possible different soultion or explanation.

What else do you have installed in the affected area? FSX does not display FSX AI traffic if you have AI traffic for FS8 installed - something many addon airports do. As example the France VFR series. Their scenery folder contins an own traffic bgl, if I remember well the file name starts with TRF_ - delete that file and all will be well.

I use only standard FSX sceneries.. I do not have any add-on airport (only some change done with ADE or ACAD.

I checked LIFR to be full of plains in 53a.

Please start the communicator, and from "Manage FSX settings" select "search traffic bgls". (FSX may not run why you do so).

After a minute or three you will see a list of file displayed, typically

Disable the above file by renaming it to Traffic_pescherecci.bgl.passive and I think your problem will go away, its most likely that it is in a format that pre-dates the FSX SDK which stops the other traffic files above created for FSX from working at all.

I have done trhe suggested change and noe everything is ok... LIRF and other airports with the same issue are noe plenty of aircrafts.
