Loading the flight plan into FSX?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Thank you for an incredibly detailed product.

I have worked through the manual and created flight plans as described with no problems. Plans are saved in FSC and FSX format in I believe the correct folders.

My very basic question and I apologise for its simplicity:

Do I load my saved plan within FSC or within FSX flightplanner - they are visible and availble in both. If I load in FSX I have to press the 'Find Route' to complete the dialogue, and FSX then calculates a new plan.

If I load within FSC how do I get ATC (or the flightplanner) to recognise it in FSX? I understand the GPS window sends autopilot function to FSX and this works fine, but my FSC flightplan does not correspond to the

FSX flightplan visible in the FSX GPS map and referred to by the FSX ATC.

I have read the manual and looked through the forum but have not been able to answer this simple question.

Again thanks for a fantastic product, and I look forward to your help.

Hi Tom,

I do not understand why you press the Find Route button. Just use only the Load button to load your saved flight plan and use the NavLog button or the EDIT tab to check the route. That's it.

Now, both flight plans in the FSCommander and FSX are identical.

Regards,

Volker

Hi Volker,

Thanks for the swift response, and of course it works perfectly!

For some reason I thought 'Find route' HAD to be used to complete the process..........

Brilliant product, looking forward to flying now.

Thanks again,

Tom K..
