And here is something to keep you busy over your winter our summer...

And if somebody wants to paint a hand full of GA aircraft, here another small view into 5.4b...

A bit off topic, but I had to say I love the Islander, especially in Channel Islands Aviation colors. This specific aircraft (N55JA) is based at KCMA, my home airport, and makes daily charter runs with hikers and campers to a remote strip on one of the Channel Islands just offshore. It makes my version of KCMA that much more realistic!

And here is my final viscount paint - Air Zimbabwe.

I have attached the sim.cfg file for all 26 paints but it does not have the correct parking codes in it. I will leave that to those more knowledgable than I, to correct.

I will now turn my attention to the VC10.

And the sim.cfg file - please correct the parking codes.

That model looks very smart indeed.

But one thing at at a time - My little paint factory is only a part time one man show... :-)

First of all I am concentrating on the VC10's.

Maybe someone else could jump in with this since Burkhard has now opened his latest Pandoras treasure box.

I went overboard on this paint and spent far too long on it, but I really wanted to get it right.

I'm particularly pleased with the metal underbelly despite not being able to use an alpha channel for reflectivity.

It's the 1964 "orange tail" version the the SAA Boeing 707-300 - the "Johannesburg".

This image above is a direct screenshot from the ModelConverterX workspace. This program is great for quickly checking accuracy and texture positioning, but IMHO it doesn't really show how the paint would look in the simulator.

Very nice indeed, Dave.

The primary use of MCX is, as you suggest, to check placement and alignment of repaints before loading them in the sim. It's not a complete replacement, but it does save many hours of waiting for FSX to launch repeatedly, when trying to do the initial work.

Thanks guys

I was about to get stuck into the 1965 Orange Tail SAA B727-200 because I actually need this one for a particular airport scene.

However, if you would like to do it, I will back off, since I have a few hundred Comet repaints still to do before the Mytraffic 5.5 deadline.

Please let me know ASAP
