SuperTrafficBoard V3 Content updated for MyTrafficX V5.4A

Recommended Posts

As far as I can see MyTrafficX is the only FSX AI add-on still being developed, and I'm very glad to see it. Many new airlines and aircraft were added in 5.4, and I've updated the STB V3 configuration files to fully describe them. The configuration files define the IATA codes, full name and role (i.e. Passenger, Cargo, etc) for airlines, without which STB can only show the callsign name, and the aircraft departure flaps setting, cruise speed and altitude.

You can download the new configuration files from:

www.supertrafficboard.com/downloads/mtx54a.zip

After downloading, unzip the file and start up STB. Then:

  • Click "Settings" from the "Configuration" pull down menu;
  • Click the Objects tab;
  • Click the "Edit Airlines" Radio button if not already selected;
  • Click "Load From Text File"
  • Navigate to wherever you unzipped the content of mtx54a.zip and select "Airlines_MyTrafficX_Pro.txt"
  • 1488 Airlines are loaded.
  • Click the "Edit Airports" radio button;
  • Click "Load From Text File" again;
  • Navigate to wherever you unzipped the content of mtx54a.zip and select "Aircraft_MyTrafficX_Pro.txt"
  • 163 Aircraft are loaded.

The above content will also be included in the upcoming STB V3 SP2 Update.

I found most airlines, but a few escaped me. If you happen to know anything about the airlines behind the following callsigns, I'd be glad to hear about them:

  • E WING
  • JOBAIR
  • KHABAROVSK
  • NORTH AIR - Hokkaido AIr Systems
  • SELVA - Servicios Aéreos Del Vaupes
  • SOLIDAIR
  • SPARKLE
  • SPEEDSTER
  • STORK
  • TRETYAKOVO
  • WEST TOGO

New logos will also be arriving soon.

Quite a lot has changed in Version 3. Full details of course can be found in the usual place, http://www.supertrafficboard.com/Product.html

But to mention just 3 in particular:

- The user's aircraft is now listed and follows a similar pattern to the AI aircraft;

- As well as flights that have occurred in the past (e.g. an arrival that has parked and is now a departure) and flights that are occurring in the present, you can now see flights listed into the future before FSX has created the corresponding AI aircraft. And when the time comes, the board is updated seamlessly;

- You can have a "split screen", and show both arrivals and departures at the same time.

We've been through two service packs already, each adding new function and another update is coming very soon.

There was an upgrade price but it ended a while ago. However if you contact me directly I'll see what I can do for you (and any other MTX/STB V2 customers reading this!)
