Warthog controller with FSUIPC

Recommended Posts

Hi Pete,

I am using the thrustmaster joystick and Throttle controllers. They work great with the A-10C.

For pitch and alerion trim I initiall tried Hat Switch but FS doesn't seem to like this so selected another 4 way switch on my joystick. It seemed to work it flight but when I went to axis assignment page I moved the trim switch but the trim axis values did not change . Have I done this correctly or ?

Thanks for assistance

Assigned where and to what, exactly?

Switches and buttons are assigned in the Buttons & Switches tab. The axis assignments tab works with levers (and real hats in FSX but not FS9).

You really need to explain where you assigning and to what. I can't guess these thngs. There are a number of ways of adjusting trims so you need to be specific. It would also help if you stated the version number of FSUIPC and the version of FS -- FSUIPC applies to all FS versions since FS98!

Pete,

Let me apologize for sending you incomplete information. I know better just got in a hurry

First running FSX Gold with acceleration pack

running FSUIPC Version 4.8

Switch settings as follows:

Joy 3-10 Elevator Trim DN

Joy 3-12 Elevator Trim UP

Joy 3-13 Alerion Trim LEFT

Joy 3-11 Alieron Trim RIGHT

Hope this helps

Well it tells me that you've assigned buttons to FS controls. But you also said, before:

It seemed to work it flight but when I went to axis assignment page I moved the trim switch but the trim axis values did not change

What are you expecting to happen on the axis assignments page when you are pressing buttons? There's no connection. The axis assignments page allows you to see and assign axis inputs.

Pete,

Thanks for reply...I know the switvhes are a discrete...but is the trim function discete function...like to increase trim do I hold the switch or to increse trim do I contiuously pump the switch in discrete steps.

Since I do not have the program listing I don't knoe hoe the function is mechansed. Thanks for your enlightenment.

That depends whether you set the "repeat" option. Your choice.

Sorry, what "program listing"?
