Vaas Montenegro
I understand the Windows message, but I have 5.4a - why would it be looking for "Patches54.bat", - there must be a wrong word in the path in the download bat or exe, and so I guess the updating process doesn't run the executable "Patches54a.exe. ... which means I can't get new files...... Help, please Mr. Burkhard! Many Thanks.
Burkhard
I see, after download just double click to Patches54a.bat.
Vaas Montenegro
Thanks for the reply, Burkhard. I still have a concern: the download is 17 seconds long (pretty normal) here, but when the bat runs - it opens the DOS window, and runs two lines, with the exe window popping up for about two seconds - just enough to be recognisable.. It doesn't look as if it's going through all that was downloaded. I don't remember this very quick behavior with 5.3b. The download is repeatable, starting with (approximately) 4073, ending at 12072813. The original installation was 5.2b, upping through each revisions to 5.3b. I deleted the complete \FSX\MyTrafficX folder prior to installing this version, per one of the posts here, so there was no 5.4 version. Was this perhaps a mistake on my part? Or is the installation ok?
Burkhard
The patch is a few files only, so if it takes long you have an I/O problem. In 5.3b there were more files to be replaced. In order to have a complete installation, you do need 5.4 full installer, or the 5.4a full installer. I assume you have the later as your post indicates. Vaas Montenegro
Yes - the 5.4a, purchased on June 20th. Thanks, Burkhard...
